She was 17-18 in gangster you could tell.

In her interview with A. Chopra she mentioned she needed a passport (which she didn't have yet) for her first film and had to travel abroad. Maybe Indian laws are very lax but here non family members have to have written permission from parents to travel outside the country with minors. They would have needed parental permission for making the film and her parents' signature on the contract. They would have been open to all kinds of liability if they did not. Even if Indian laws are lax, they would have been under foreign jurisdiction wherever they filmed outside India. I don't believe she was under 18 at that time; it makes no sense for Anurag Basu to take an underage girl when he had other options. I think she was good in Queen. I think she has worked hard and become a good actress. But back then she was not so good, she was just a reasonably pretty girl willing to do "bold" scenes generating some of the most annoying fake crying I've ever encountered. I think if she were really a minor, they would have picked a different girl.

I am shocked she is only 31. She looks atleast 36 to me. Btw if they could get hold of Kangu's passport they should try for Katty's passport too. We will finally know her age and her citizenship details.
