Having said that, nobody is denying that Priyanka works hard...so what? Thousands of people work their butts off and they don't see as much success as Priyanka has seen in their whole lives, forget a year or two. It is absolutely impossible that it is only her hard work that has gotten her to where she is today. And what's wrong with that? You may think of it as petty, I don't. If actresses can sell their bodies on-screen (as eye candy) why can't they sell it off-screen? What's so bad about it? I wouldn't judge any actress for doing so. The truth of the entertainment industry is, this is a very big reality for actors and actresses. It happens ALL the time. You may disagree with me in this regard, that's fine. We don't have to agree. But the point is that my opinion is in no way disregarding everything PC has done. So what if she's gotten some connections a certain way off-screen? Who hasn't? I would think of it as a business transaction. And nowhere did I say that it's a terrible, bad thing that she HAS engaged in some of this.

I like actors/actresses, but I am not blind to the ways of the industry. I said maybe DP is not willing to compromise on such things, but who is in the beginning? Sooner or later many many actresses succumb and realize that sometimes they may need to sleep around a bit to get the things they want...otherwise, the competition is SO stiff, thousands and millions of potential prospects, it becomes SO difficult to get what you want. Have you read the horrible-tell alls of Hollywood? In addition, I also mentioned that DP has a steady boyfriend right now, which is possibly why she is unwilling to engage in certain activities at the moment. That in itself implies that that is DP's CURRENT situation, if her and RS were to break up and she decided to sleep around a bit for certain things, then so what?? It's HER choice (playing on her video here LOL). It wouldn't take away from her (or PC's) struggle/hard work, it only becomes a part of the journey of their struggles!

We can argue about the passion in her roles, I think her role as Alex Parrish is quite mediocre, but that's not the point of the argument so moving on...

There are blinds that point to PC about this sort of stuff as well. Why is everyone willing to believe blinds about everyone except their favourites?? All DP blinds must be true, but PC blinds must be lies? That blind about her wasn't even focusing on her or attempting to disregard her...it was just stating what is, and moved on.

The reality of Hollywood is, no matter how hard you work, you can't avoid certain compromising at all. That's just the way the industry works, especially with all these old white men in control. Whether you choose to believe your favourite engages with this sort of stuff is your problem, and you're free to believe whatever you want, just like I am. But make no mistake to assume that I am putting PC "down"...no I am only stating that "it is what it is", and if tomorrow DP were to hit sudden back-to-back success and opportunities in HW as well I would DEFINITELY think that something was up.

You haven't offended me, you are allowed to express your disagreements, this is what this forum is for. What pissed me off in that thread was that it was assumed that my opinion on Hollywood and its environment and PC's involvement in it was all a certain way because I'm a fan of DP. As if.😆

I think agree to disagree is the best way for us! There is casting couches in every field, not just BW. And these things have a way of coming out in the end. But to think that any person who is succeeding must be sleeping around is very unfair I feel.

Yes surely thousands of people work hard! But the confidence which PC carries herself or the passion she has, very less of those thousands people have. PC has an amazing filmography behind her, so obviously she is someone somebody who can pull almost all kinds of characters! I'm not naive enough to not admit that surely her 'Exotic' looks or her gorgeous hair has been one of the reasons she is being successful there! And the fact that English is very fluent & how she is very well aquatinted with American Pop culture... I wouldn't say her acting in Quantico is mediocre because her expressions are bang on, it's the dialouge delivery which is a BIG problem, I wouldn't disagree to that but what says that she didn't kill it in the audition? She is an experienced actress, the audition must've been a cakewalk for her! She tries to hard to look the cool chick in the show, and it doesn't help that character sucks! But I don't blame her for these things, she was pretty bad when she started out in BW too. For somebody who is watching Quantico, I can definitely tell you that she has improved a whole lot - her dialouge delivery doesn't seem out of place with the other actors, she has become pretty comfortable with the accent!

Coming to your other point, I would like to ask you how are you so sure about PC sleeping around? Due to blinds really? Please don't give me the everyone believes the DP blinds argument, because I certainly do not believe all blinds about DP. What my point is you are so surely implying that PC slept around to get her roles, how can you assume such without any proofs? If you are talking about the blind with Jimmy Kimmel, I don't see how sleeping with Jimmy would get her role in Quantico? It doesn't make sense. Also many in the thread did say that the site does make up stuff sometimes! If we really go by logic, PC has had to cancel events due to her many commitments I don't see where she would get time to sleep around.

If DP doesn't have the morality in sleeping around to get roles, why would a steady boyfriend in any way? If sleeping around to get roles is fine, why will cheating on boyfriend give her a guilty conscience. It is either all in or nothing! You are very sure that PC got roles due to her "connections", but in DP's case it's a maybe! Why I ask? In both cases we don't have any proofs. If anything DP's rise in HW has been sudden, PC has been struggling for 3 years after her song- that said I don't believe in DP sleeping around too I was just trying to put a point! I don't see how PC's success has been sudden, Quantico became a hit and that is why she landed up Baywatch! If Quantico was a flop, no matter how much she slept around se wouldn't have landed Quantico in her dreams. PC has never got her due, despite of how good her filmography, still she has managed to sustain despite of how many people don't like her in India. After almost 15 years of struggle, she is finally getting attention and it gets credited to sleeping around!

How non belivable it is that Keli Lee did approach PC, it is obviously because after Scandal & HTGAM they are looking at diversity, of course it's for their own ulterior motive to get the Indian fanbase. I don't think they would've gone that deep to understand that there are actresses who are more popular than PC and who can get them a bigger base. They went for PC, because she can get some of the Indian base while at the same time fit in the American crowd and she is pretty much able to get the hang of the accent too!

You land up roles by connections, I don't know how you can get success by sleeping around? How do you guarantee success by sleeping around? The success of the show/film is in the hands of the public, not the old white men 😕

I'm not naive enough to admit casting out couches happen in BW, but assuming it did with PC just because she has that seductress image going for - it's very unfair not on just her, but for any women. Its the problem in every sector where women are called wh**es or s**ts just because they achieved success and reached the top of the ladder.

I know you'll say don't make this a feminism issue, but it is a feminism issue! I cannot judge somebody of sleeping around for roles, when they are good at their jobs it's not like they are bad actors!

Acting is never looked as a proper profession, and I take offense at that. You may think it is okay to sleep around for roles I think it's not. Without your talent you are getting roles, what's the point in that? I understand when young girls are manipulated into it, but if you are purposely seducing somebody to get a role, I don't see how can it can be okay, irrespective of how common it is!

I don't have much to contribute here. But THIS. There will never be proof for anything for anyone for the claims made on the forum. But members here believe and assume based on what they read, hear, doubts et al. I am sure it's applicable to you too. So why should one NOT assume when it comes to PC? You are allowed to believe based on your observations, that's your right. Same applies to others. No?

You have given the entire evaluation only SINGLE reasoning for many of us to assume PC slept her way up. But there may be many other reasons why some of us feel that way. Many actresses have seductress image, but not all have the same history as that of PC :|.

Of course it's ONE of the reasons, not the only reason- her history with married men is another! And there might be others too.

I didn't say sleeping around = s**ts & wh**es! I said it's the perspective of people that when a woman reaches success to the top of the ladder is because she is a s**t or wh**e!

Whether using tools or weapons other than your talent to get to your ambition is right or wrong is a personal opinion. I have my different beliefs, doesn't make them any wrong.

Things do have a way of coming out- sometimes early sometimes later! Nothing is hidden here: Case in point: KR HR drama!
