OT : I agree. Olympics is huge in itself. It doesnt need a Bollywood star. People who intend to follow it will anyway do so. All the extra attention it would be gaining will be due to the performances. 😆

but when it comes to Olympics now are there better personalities who had a connect with that field and have a pan Indian appeal.. Yes! Bhaichung Bhutia, Mary Mom, Sania Mirza, Sania nehwal, Paes, Rathore, sushil kumar, Milkha singh, Vishwanathan Anand and so on.

This is NOT about Salman or his shady past... This is about Sports which has got their own ambassadors.. these sports already have to live under the shadows of cricket. why drag bollywood too and take away the little limelight they are managing to claw their way in?

and why as a promotion platform.. maybe Salman is doing it as goodwill measure indeed but there is Sultan in the background and that is kind of disrespectful to the the ultimate dreams of the athletes.. their dream serving as a movie promotion platform.

Olympics go for 2 months. We have 4 major categories. The moment these guys start winning medals , it buzzes. Unlike cricket or IPL which are so India-centric. The events we compete in are hugely popular. Everyone tunes in to see who be holding the flat or for shooting/hockey/badminton and grappling.
