she was amazing in it.. i loved datto. and coming to national award...we don't know about the competition this year and the nominees. even saif won NA for hum tum😆 so you never know.

if deepika can win a filmfare for piku..kangana winning NA for this is totally deserving

Depends on what you are comparing it against.. She was better when compared to Deepika in Piku as Datto was a more complex character.. But Kalki and Richa were better compared to her.. Strictly my opinion😆

Compared to others like Deepika who I find strictly average, YES OFCOURSE! Kangana is a great actress who portrayed Datto and Tanu amazingly! I repeat: AMAZINGLY!

I watched the movie (TWMR) on a plane while I was travelling...found it strictly average...sometimes boring...but it picked up by the second half as far as I remember because KR's portrayal of Datto was just wow. Nothing short of amazing. 👏 so to answer your question, I think KR deserved the award if you mainly consider mainstream actresses...she gave the best performance amongst mainstream actresses last year.

However, I might have given the award to Kalki, who is not a mainstream actress but IMO gave the best overall performance last year.

No, the thread didn't backfire. In fact thank you all for stating your opinions in a very civil manner without attaching my opinion. Much respect to that. :) And I'm happy for you all that a deserving actress won the national award. It's rare that happens with Bollywood awards.
