Was KR really that great in TWMR?

Maybe I'm the minority here. But does anyone else share the opinion that she was simply average in the movie. I mean was she really worthy of a national award? I'm not saying she was bad, but I do believe overrated is the right word. Anyone agree?


And this thread isn't created to bash or take any credit away from Kangana. Just didn't think it was that great. The film too was merely average in my honest opinion.

Yup. She portrayed 2 characters with 2 very different personalities and mannerisms and the entire canvas of the movie essentially rested on it (especially the audience's connect with Datto.) Where she was better than her other colleagues with great performances, IMO and from whatever I have watched, was the range that she had the opportunity to play and also delivered on. Priyanka's performance in BM or Anushka's performance in NH10 were pitch perfect, perhaps even more so than KR in TWMR, but they didn't have to take on the challenges of 2 roles and display convincing performances through both.
