Wow great reviews, second best reviewed film of the year. Happy to see entire cast getting appreciated with Rishi, Fawad and Ratna getting the major applause. Also what a turnaround for Fox, first Neerja now K and S. Shakun is a great talent loved his EMAET as well. Will watch next week.

Kapoor & Sons Struggles On Day One

Kapoor & Sons has struggled on day one with collections set to be around 6.25 crore nett. The film picked up from the morning where the opening looked like an under 5 crore nett total but the pick up is not great and its the regular pick up of a metro film

The business is totally on the strength of metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore which have managed average busienss due to the pick up in the evening but most other cities have performed poorly. The fate of the film will depend on how far these big metros can go over the next few days.

The big problem for the film will that Saturday is the best day for multiplex business in metros but there is the India v Pak cricket match which may make it hard for the film to show big growth and it will be sean how much of this loss can it (if) cover on Sunday.

PS: Glad its picked up. With the WOM it will hopefully cover Saturday's losses on Sunday and later.

wow .. Congrats to Shakun and his team . Truly, i mean rarely directors trend and get so much cheer from the audience.

This is the first time in many years when a film which had no superstars , no biggie as a director but got 100% excellent reviews , this is terrific. Congrats to KJO too, he should cast Fawad in a solo film soon, if he wants me to like him.

shakun deserves all this praise...i am so happy finally he is been taken seriously. he has talent.

i remember watching emaet and the vow same day.

hell...i found myself going back to emaet few more time in cinema ...never went for the vow again. so waht i was the only one in theater in my 3rd outing...tell you the mazaa to watch a movie alone in a theater...lol...they had to run the movie only for me. mazaaa aa gaya...HISTORY!
