There is a video online which is a video of what happened in JNU that night. Wait, will link it here for you. In it, one of the students at JNU said this slogan as an example of his point. He was saying that hurtful slogans are made on both sides.

As for the DU event, because there was fear of disruption, police and water tankers were parked from morning, but there was no actual disruption. And I have seen extreme causes and events organised by both sides in DU and JNU. There were always people shouting slogans against the event inside, but the events still happened.
