Deleted scene from Tamasha (video)

So i came across one of the deleted scenes from Tamasha, and its quite an uncomfortable scene, Ved is forcing himself onto tara and she looks petrified, so i understand why imtiaz cut it out, but it just makes me think, why did tara still love him? Ved had extreme mood swings, he was a jerk to tara, yet she still did not want to let go of him, if this was a real life situation no girl wud hav put up with it

The thing is that ved was actually not in his sanity, imtiaz hinted he had bipolar disease. A person mentally volatile and vulnerable can act in a way they never would have if they were their real self.If you notice throughout the film,ved is shown as someone too polite, someone maintaining every bit of manner and courtsey.His boss even tells him that his talent in corporate job is very low but its his behaviour that has kept him going in this field.Even in corsica,when he is the unpredictable don,he never misbehaves with Tara, never takes advantage of her trust,and then at the end when his complexes end, he again becomes the happy go lucky yet very well mannered guy,who even does a sastang dandvat to Tara in front of a theatre full of people.A person going through mental complexes doesnt behave in a sane way,even ved himself was very shocked with the way he was getting out of control , he even told Tara to leave as he has no trust in himself how he would react.Tara loved Ved, and when we love someone we dont just leave that person that easily.Suppose someone you love a lot is going through a mental disorder and behaves badly with you.Will you just leave that person?Specially when you know how vulnerable he is right now and he needs you?Tara knew Ved needed him and if she gave up on him,he would have just gotten destroyed .She was a lil guilty too, because if you look at it,it was she who kissed him first at corsica, she who looke for him in the cafe,she who told himhow she feels about him .Ved was overwhelmed by her love as he thought himself to be ordinary, not someone a full of life girl Tara would love, he wwas insecure,hesitant,but then when he finally believed and proposed her,she rejected her , in front of his friends.And according to him Tara no more loves him because she cant love the real him, the boring product manager guy,this kinda comes across as a betrayal.Someone leads you on to believe she loves you, you fall for her, she initiates everything in the relationship, its going all fine then one fine day she ends it all. I assume Ved and Tara's relation reached a stage where Ved could find himself proposing her, so it was not just casual fling.So if Tara had problems, according to Ved she should have told the truth earlier, that he doesnt deserve her.Sometimes in life, betrayals bring out the worst in you, you do things you never wanted to, and later regret.But what mattters is that the couple sorted it out, and they got their happyly ever after.Anyway its a scipted story not something real, and I am also glad imtiaz deleted this scene , the movie is better without it.

I'm sorry but ved was a jerk to her, even if imtiaz says he was bipolar those issues were never addressed in the film, he never got treatment for it or went to a doctor, I mean Wat if in the future ved wud act like that again?

The only way ved was happy was wen he got Wat he wanted, which was fulfilling his dream, wen that wasn't happening ved lashed out at everyone, his boss, tara, even strangers

And there is no excuse to forcing himself onto her, whether he is sane or not, he was hurting her, she looks so scared

And tara shud hav some self respect, why wud she put up with his weird behaviour and his insensitive attitude

To each his own I guess, everyone has different perspective.Ia m not saying everything Ved did was right,but a human can be flawed and overall he was not a bad person.If Ved was only happy when he got his dream, then he would'nt have been that decent to Tara throughout their relationship,before she broke up with him.At that time to he was stuck in a suffocating life na.I have interacted with mentally disturbed people,and believe me mor eor less all of us have some mental disturbance,noone is hundred percent sane.If every loved one of a mentally disordered person leaves him saying I am not gonna put up with him, instead of trying to fix him up,ythis world would be such a cruel place.I have a cousin who has autism, and she is almost rude all the time, but one has to understand she is rude without knowing she is being rude, one juts shoud'nt leave her because of that, because she may be rude but she can love selflessly too.Imtiaz was not very good with showing the mental disorder thing, I guess he shied away as he thought that would make the movie much more complex.If Ved was serial abuser, always mistreated Tra then I would have surely said Tara should kick him out of him life,but in 70 percent portion of the film he was very decent with her.If it was only not being able to attain the dream he wanted was what his problemm was,I would have called him selfish, but his pain his madness all triggered when Tara rejected him,f she was with him ,I dont think he would have cracked like that,he would have continued that monotonous life ,as he still had a source of happiness with his girlfriend. Mind you if we try dissecting wvery film charcter morally, 90 percent of them will come out with flaws.Most of them would look like not the person someone in real life would like to be with.But when it comes to mental problem, it requires patience, it requires love, not just medication.Psychiatrists mostly try to talk with the perosn suffering, make them say whats inside, make them go clean from inside. An dif I am not wrong Tara only tried to talk to Ved twice, after that she left for china and didnt really contact him,so its not like she had to put up with his anger all the time.She only tried to talk twice, one was initiated by Ved himself. The deleted scene should not be counted as the director cut it out from his movie,his story,

Ranbir or any character that he plays had no right to force himself on Deepika or on any character played by DP but yeah Mastani had every right to force herself in the lives of Bajirao and kashibai

Ved was atleast better than cheater Bajirao😆I dont know why some people just have to overanalyse evrything,like they have'nt even watched the whole scene.Ved thought Tara never loved him as he is and only craved for a physical relationship.Thats why such a reaction.I am not saying what ved did was the greatest thing on earth but some are evn going as far as Ved raped Tara she should complain hoim to police,wthIf you dont like mn actor , why try to watch his movie only with the tendency and motive to bash it, better do something worthwhile in that time na.
