I can't even imagine Kajol dancing Dola re or Ajay saying " Kaun kambakth bardasth karne ke liye pita hain"🤪

Anyways, like everyone said, IMO she doesn't fit the role of Paro. She is not pretty enough and cant dance for nuts. I think the whole "chaand mein daagh" required a very beautiful actress to pull it off. Plus the movie has an unhappy ending and i don't think i would want that for SRK-Kajol. The role was meant for Aishwarya cuz she fits Paro's beauty and can dance her ass off.

I don't think She rejected khamooshi and HDDCS she said in an interview back then that 'I don't know what happened and I was out of both the movies'

This is the first time I am hearing about it...anyways...Aish was the perfect Paro...and SRK was the perfect Devdas...although the movie sucks😆

Yes that's true. I read that interview as well. I wish she had done HDDCS. It was a great movie. Would've solidified her career further. That and KHNH.

No Kajol was the first choice. She got pregnant and the movie was then offered to Kareena who was dumb enough to turn it down and give a chance to Preity to undeservingly become numero uno.

This is not true. Slb only considered one other actress to play Paro... And that was Kareena. But Kareena can't dance and isn't that beautiful so she missed our. Kajol was never in the running

LOL I didnt know that, I remember Karan said in an intv that he writes all his movies keeping Kajol in mind except KHNK which he wrote for Kareena
Iam glad kareena didnt do that she would have ruined one of my fav movie. No offence but Kareena was so OTT back then
It was the same year she did mein prem ki deewani and Khushi :D

Hmmm...I remember Kajol being in the news about Devdas right after HDDCS in 2000. And that was well before Ash was finally chosen for the movie, so saying that she wasn't in the running is a REACH. But yes it is true that SLB wanted Kareena as well.
