Chameli ki shaadi was classic. Not sure how they will adapt it to today's sensibility ...Sona is a good choice, Amrita was so good hope Sona does justice to the character. In Anil role hmm I can see Arjun doing this.

Even I had Arjun in my mind. It's hard to imagine any other known face.

Sona may not even say yes to this.

Chameli Ki Shaadi was an awesome film. Hillarious!! A must watch.

But I don't know if Sonakshi can pull off Amrita's role. Amrita was really cute and a very good actor too. Sonakshi doesn't has any of those qualities. Hope she surprises us because I will cry if a film like CKS is ruined by its remake. Other than the fact that both Amrita and Sonakshi are chubby, I don't see any common characteristics between them. Amrita was like so pretty and at the same time so cute and even though it wasn't easy to accept, but she was manageable as a school student because the character had failed a few times. Sonakshi looks too old even to pass off as a college student and then she isn't as cute either. The role requires a cute actress. Let's hope someone just does some magic on sona and something good comes out of this.

One of my all time favourites.

Personally I think Amrita, Anil and Amjad Khan's roles were equally meaty and important. If this remake does happen, I'm curious to see who they will cast for Amjad Khan's role.

The film will be helmed by Radhika Rao and Vijay Sapru, who are known for Salman Khan's Lucky: No Time For Love'.

On second thoughts hope this remake doesn't happen. 🤔

I think Sonakshi is capable of pulling Chameli's role.

But she gotta be careful. High chances of her going ott in order to appear cute. Definitely no easy feat matching upto Amrita. But at least she can try and not ruin it.

After Lootera, I can put my money of Sonakashi. If she really puts her heart into it, I think she can do it.
