Seen CKS for the first time few days back on TV. Missed the start , catched from the part where the advocate was giving Tips & money to charandas to pass his restaurant test organized by chameli & her friend.

Well Chameli is one character who can irritate anyone if the actor goes even slightly OTT with the potrayal or acting. Kudos to Amrita Singh for enacting it so nicely (& coming across as cute too) without going OTT.

Wish they won't come up with a remake. Bcoz it not just about chameli, it needs a good charandas too, along with aptly casted people in the lawyer, parents & relative's role.

Chameli ki shaadi was a fantastic film. Love that film. Sonakshi is a great choice, she has a really good comic timing and has that Indian appeal. She is big boned just like Amrita Singh too. So I can definitely see her as Chameli. Finally a remake with a good actress in place.

EEP So good to read positive comments about Sonakshi.

I was so used to of reading body shaming and name calling comments about her on this forum.

OMG !!! Though I dislike remakes but this one sounds very good!! CKS is one of my favorite 90s movies & its HILARIOUS!! Amrita Singh was excellent in it but Sona would do justice to her role! Can't wait!!!

I know!! Her Lootera is better than new girls' filmographies!

Why don't big prod houses sign her?? She isn't moody like bebo to quit in between. She can work well.

I'm so excited for akira n force two!😃maybe then she'd be seen in a different avatar by the audience:)

I guess when she starts (which she already has) doing movies wherein she shows more of her acting skills..big producers may have a change in opinion and start signing her.

Not everyone gets convinced of an actor's calibre with just one film (Lootera) like me and u did.

Sona needs to prove it that she has it in her.

Hoping well for Akira and Force 2.
