Hrithik in the same league as the Khans? right lol
Hrithik is a star or superstar in his own right but he's by no means in the same league as the Khans.

really ? I didn't know that about his success ratio . You know box office is unpredictable . Till last year even we Hrithik fans could not imagine that dilwale would earn as same as a bang bang and PRDP would earn as similar as HNY ..

I think Hrithik is his own enemy. He started his career well but soon he began to restrict himself in phases .. The first phase was when he played a nauseating goody two shoes boy .

The second phase is when he begun to play larger than life characters , high profile characters or true blue filmy characters.

Another sub phase was when he did films to oblige his friends...

I am yet to see Hrithik play a regular/ middle class guy ( like say WUS, Kabhi haan Kabhi naa, Baaghi, Khamoshi) where the character is part of narrative rather than the narrative being woven around a character ( aimed at presenting him as a angst ridden or a savior kind of hero).

Another flaw in his make up is his reluctance to star in medium to small budget movies or stories with different style of narrative.

Added to it, is he gives out a dull, uninteresting kind of vibe with his philosophical takes on his twitter or by his safe replies in his IV's ... makes him a uninteresting copy than an exciting one ... so even though ppl love him, he does not arouse fanatical devotion the way an SRK does or Salman does.

Lol its unfair to compare one actor/star to 3 stars. The khans have had bad phases in their career too except maybe SRK. His debut film was the highest grosser of the year, he has 6 blockbusters in a career span of 15 with less no of films. Yes Hrithik is a superstar since his debut. And he has many yrs ahead of him too. The only grouse his fans have is he does too less films.

On the Contrary, he is one of the most dedicated actor IMO...

In the era of 6 packs and 8 packs, he voluntarily let himself go to flab to present a convincing picture of a physically inactive quadriplegic ... He had no hesitation to grow bramble bushes on his face for kite thus hiding his so called greek god face... He worked hard on his urudu and parsi diction for JA ..

No, He is a passionate actor but not a driven star.

But will he be a part of narrative or will he be the larger than life vijay dinanath? Thats my grouse...😳

I just want him to do a regular movie like a piku, talvar, hyderabad blues etc where characters live and herogiri is zero

Hrithik doesn't have a larger than life persona like say a SRK or Salman. For someone who comes after the Khans in today's time, he hasn't really took advantage of the stardom he has achieved..which can be a good and bad thing. Also, I feel his filmography is kind of boring. His entire approach to doing one film per year and being a perfectionist while attempting that, isn't doing him any huge favor. For someone who apparently puts so much hard work and dedication into the roles they're doing, his roles and films aren't anything memorable. Off the top of one's head, how many of Hrithik's roles are actually memorable? He has attempted a variety of films, and even those films aren't really much of benchmarks. The only benchmark he really has is his debut film and his dancing skills. Other than that, there's nothing that he has that others don't. Khans have more box office pull than him and there are generally many actors out there that can give him tough competition in the acting department, older and younger.

He said once he'd love to do a normal love story, but after his success with larger than life roles, all he gets approached for are similar roles. Like said Kaabil seems to be that film, though I've faith in Sanjay Gupta's directorial skills.
