Kamal Hassan made that statement because some Muslim organisations wanted Vishwaroopam banned because the movie was about a spy infiltrating Al-Qaeda.

Now some people are asking why Kamal hassan wasn't targeted for his words? My question is why didnt the same lot call India Intolerant back then? Or is intolerance only applicable when people of certain religions complain?

BTW this happened when Congress was in power. So much for Congress being secular.

What's with this Kamal Hassan argument? 😕 Shruti Seth was abused left right and center when she criticized the selfie with daughter stuff on twitter. And no, she didn't belong to any religious minority. There was huge cry over a couple.of roast jokes and people filed FIRs against AIB/Ranveer Sing/Arjun Kapoor etc..etc..and there was a huge outrage all over and none of them were targeted due to their religion. Anushka Sharma's effigies were burnt after India lost a couple of matches in her presence. People.on twitter cracked disgusting 'rape jokes' aftsr Deepika's My Choice video. The point I'm trying to make is that these celebs have been at the receiving end of shit load of useless outrage for no reason, irrespective of their religion or gender. The intensity of outrage is directly proportional to their stardom. And is also correlated to the joblessness of these crazy extremists.

I myself is not a fan of Modi , I criticize him a lot and sometimes I praise him when I feel like he is worth it, if some outsider will call my country's Prime Minsiter a terrorist , I will oppose it

But I remember ur views abt the issue ...u were like Pakistan has every right to ban the movie bcz it has a dialogue " ghar Mein Ghus ke maro " ...

U felt this for Pakistan , u can't feel this for India , ur native country... when someone says it's not worth living , he wanna move out of India , now as a result he has been removed as a brand ambassador... why opposing it ? ... Pakistan banned the movie and India has removed Aamir as an Ambassador... Isn't it the same kind of issue for what u supported Pakistan ?

Pretty much. I am against all religion related backlash. People give way too much importance to such things.
