These political party will find someone new to target in a few weeks but these industry members are going to be the same. SRK doesn't need to bow down to no one. I was just about to say that I hope he doesn't joke aut this whole episode. These bigots are just waiting to latch onto something. Not that they need an excuse. But these people won't get jokes or even if they do they'll pretend like they don't and would turn it into something it's not. Shahrukh's default setting is to joke about things but I hope he avoids this time when it comes to this issue.

As for SK, one shouldn't expect any better on that issue from this industry. Hell even Shahrukh supported him on a personal level. One has to understand a lot of the folks who're supporting him are people whose careers he has launched, who he has mentored, who know him and his family hence the support. Even some political leaders out there were supporting him man. With Shahrukh, it's a political issue though. What I find baffling is that I saw a lot of the industry coming out in full support when the MNIK controversy happened, hell I saw so many of them even this time retweeting what he said in these interviews, favoriting it on their twitters. Yet when it came to the protests, to the cancelled shows, one didn't hear anything from them. Maybe like I had stated earlier, they're looking out for their own interests. They all have movies coming out in the next year and supporting him would mean taking on not only the bigots but the ruling party in a certain way. So I guess in a way I get it as to why they were so quiet this time. Back then it was a different government. The government at the time had openly stated they'll give security to all the theaters that need it. This time nobody did anything to stop the protests.
