People are commenting about peshwa history?

They were not as kind hearted as shown in the movie..they were known to be cruel and robbers too...they killed lakhs of hindu people too
Lets not analyze history and enjoy the movie
Mastani Rau's love story is hurried in the film..no one knows what exactly happened between them..
Kashi did took care of Shamsher but she also had a hand in Mastanis murder
Both are not shown in film
Yes as per movie I did felt bad for Kashi..that doesnt mean I didnt felt gor Mastani

Thats why I mentioned that obviously u would feel bad for Kashi as in the movie her role was never grey shaded.. She was a clean character and thus making it difficult for people to sympatise with Mastani.. But the reality was different.. So yes even though I am disappointed with the way Kashi role has turned out, I guess I enticipated it because SLB wasnt making a documentry.. He based it on a book and not the history exactly.. So I wont comment on that further.. I guess TM didnt read through reviews about how all of us felt bad for Kashi.. She should know there isnt a need for this topic because those who watched the film, felt the most sympathy for Kashi.. It was Mastani's character that people had hard time connecting.. Just dislike when people forget that we are talking about real life characters here and NOT the actors who potrayed it.. TBH anyone could have played Kashi, we still would have felt sympathy for her.. Its another story that PC nailed the role beautifully, be it the innocent wife or betrayed wife..

I felt only for her 😭...my most fav scene is her burning down curtain where she sees Bajirao and Mastani together..inspite of being wronged she displays dignity n grace...👏..priyanka nailed it so perfectly..

Finally someone pointed out something right about Marathas. The main source of income for the marathas other than taxes were robbing nearby kingdoms. There were massacres and many women and girls were raped and murdered. They were most hated in Eastern India.

In the movie SLB did not showed the truth and just showed weak Kashi to save time.

I did like the movie but it is not that good. I expected Kashi to have grey shades not some queen of whiteness. SLB should know some of us have studied history and would not like the random imagination as history. 😡Its nothing to do with a Deepika fan its more to do with fact even history gets distorted for a movie it literally annoys me as I have spended my entire graduation studying history in depth.😡

Yeah I remember in our bengal marathas were called bargi robbers, there's even a bengali poem where a mother tells his son to sleep and says that due to bargi robbers looting and birds destroying crops there's no way left to pay taxesI alsowanted lil bit more shades in kashi real kashi kept silent even after knowing plots of killing mastani I read,but this one was very good morally.I feel slb did mess in some places like showing that knife se shadi thing,where as real bajirao mastani were married off by mastani;s father himself, and with full knowledge of bajirao.

Nolbility, royality, rich and aristocrats had seen from their childhood that men in their family went out in evening to other woman for music,dance and sex. They had full mujra culture which was a type of clubbing and male get together. Umrao Jaan was a big example. Earlier for woman it was necessary for her stay with household affairs only and not to interfare in her husband life.

Nowdays we sympathise with Kashibai and such cheating but with time the mindset has changed. Believe me I have read about a Chinese king who had more than 120++ biological kids. Its not possible today as morality and religion would ban it and call this wrong. Accept that things and thought change with time and its a good thing.
