Finally they gave up! It makes them look stoopid anyway!

Got some time out to watch the video below...and I'm so in sync with PC here... Kashibhai is pretty regressive...I wouldn't give a rats ass to people like Rao even if I was married...BM looks really interesting i'm pretty occupied for now and hoping to see BM pretty soon...

I feel sorry for both. As a woman, I would not want to go anything that both of them went through. It's no easy on either side of the fence. The grass was not greener on either side. While on side, Mastani's had Rao's love, but the societal orthodoxy and ridicule she was put through, it's consumes you. On other side, you have Kashi who everything from respect to support, but she does not have Rao's love which she craves for.They are caught in very turbulent triangle. I don't think I would have strength to go through any of these both women situations.

If there is anything that we can name the status of the Bajirao, Kashibai and Mastani's relationship, it would be 'It is Complicated'

Basically Kashi's life took a turn after the entry of Mastani into Bajirao's life. Kashi used to always look forward to Bajirao's return after wars and from what they had shown, both loved each another and were happy together. In fact, Bajirao's mother also stated that things changed and were all good after Kashibai entered Bajirao's life.

Coming to Mastani, she fell in love. Love at first sight and she reacted using her heart than her brains. She knew he was married yet she choose to overlook that part because love is blind. She came all the way to meet Bajirao and also according to their tradition, they are married to the dagger when a guy gives it to them. So her believe and love made things stronger. She didn't mind the insult and what she has to go through as long as she gets the love of Bajirao. Her fault? Yes partially because falling in love was beyond her control and falling for a married man was her mistake.

Bajirao from what i felt, was impressed but not in love initially. But seeing how Mastani is willing to come all the way and bravely profess her love in front of everyone, he accepted her and only fell in love with her after that. But in between this, Kashibai was neglected. Perhaps it was also the curse that was given to Kashibai in the beginning that made her stay longing for her husband but sadly, she was at the loosing end.

This movie was like KANK on steroids - infidelity on another level, however I guess because it was "historic" it was justified?

Of course I felt for Kashibai, what woman wouldn't?

Infidelity is common across the world. The point is not to take a moral stand and understand where both the characters are coming from. Mastani falls in love with Bajirao, and abandons everything to join him. She faces social ridicule, stigmatization, even loneliness just to get the title of second wife. That is because of her love for Bajirao.

Kashibai also is to be pitied because she feels neglected in the whole process. But she does have the social acceptance which Mastani lacks. Mastani leads a life of constant threats n insecurity.

I think both positions are difficult to be in. But they both love Bajirao so much they cannot leave him.

All that drama, victimization, and all those allegations...who knew it was wrongly attributed because we didn't understand how difficult it is for everyone involved in oh-so-common infidelity!
