If these types of movies are released in NA one day prior to India/critics' preview, they'd get good WOM and it would manipulate Indian audiences' minds.

Imo, K-Jo should definitely try this.

but some people found tamasha boring . it can backfire too.

One needs to take risk. Critic's reviews can do the same damage.

Edit: First day audiences are mostly fans of the stars, so less chance of backfiring.

I think Tamasha was released early just to take advantage of the Thanksgiving holiday...Im not sure abt Canada, but it was a smart move for the desis living in the US

Doesn't matter when and where it's released, if KJo keeps producing movies like Shaandaar, it wont work even in another galaxy 🤔

Unfortunately it's too late for K-joke.
The audiences have realised he is only good at candy-floss.
When he's tried serious drama it's come off as dreary and off (KANK) or wasting a good story with melodrama (MNIK).
He is a one trick pony, and we ain't got time for that.

I think Tamasha was released earlier in USA only, because of Thanksgiving long weekend. Don't think it has been released in Canada yet.
And no no .. I sure hope KJo does not tries this .. his films are usual bokwaas, I don't want him to manipulate Indian audience into watching his films by using NRI audience's reaction. NRIs sometimes watch a hindi film just because it is a hindi film with big names associated with it.
Also, there is a high chance of early piracy if the film is released abroad earlier .. Indians would get the film on pirated DVDs before its actual release and that can totally hamper KJo's business (which I wouldn't mind though).
