Why so much fuss made? The age difference between Sonam and the girls are not huge they are in same age bracket she is not saying exact age. Anushka is always compared to Deepika and Sonakshi she is not of same age as them so? Priyanka and karena did many movies in short period they were the top most before the Sonam-deepika-Sonakshi-Anushka generation started. You cant put them in same bracket they had done many movies were in top before Sonam even debuted. Sonam made her debut at the time PC was doing Fashion and Kareena was established already done movies Jab we met.

If Parineeti lied about her age (which she has not) - then she did a very bad job at it.

Because she debuted in 2011 with Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl and she claims to have been born in 1988, hence making her 23 at the time.

If she was going to go to the trouble of lying, she wouldd have claimed to be 17 or 18 or 19 or 20.

So yeah, she's not lying about her age at all.

Especially since her contemporary Alia Bhatt is born in 1993.

She would have been wise to pretend she was 4-5 years younger - and she could even get away with it, because she didn't grow up in the film industry.

Shraddha Kapoor on the other hand is the "Raveena Tandon" of this generation**

Shraddz was born in 1987, but she pretends it's 1992, for the above reasons.

Basically she debuted in 2010 with a flop and went unnoticed. But when she hit the big time in 2013's Aashiqui 2, she was already 26. But by then the media pitted her with Alia Bhatt (who was 20 years old at the time), and so Shraddha's marketing team/family told her to change her birth year to 1992.

And then some people online made some noise about it (mostly me, lol) and then her Wiki constantly changed, and they settled for 1989. But now for over a year, her birth year has been completely removed.

**Raveena Tandon was born in October 1970. She claims to have been born in 1974. IMDB used to have her down as 1971 back in 2007/8. I even asked her about it on Twitter once and she replied "1974"

Also, I LOVE the way Katrina Kaif has handled her situation.

Basically she has had her birth date as July 1984 for YEARS and YEARS.

However, suddenly during the second half of 2013, her birth year was shown as 1983 (and it still stands at this date).

The clever thing about this scenario is that when she actually crossed the "dreaded" 30-mark, it went by unnoticed. Because when she really turned 20 in July 2013, we all thought she was 29 still (because she was down as 1984 at the time) - but a few months down the line, her birth date was rectified, and she's transitioned into her 30s without a hoo-haa!

And for the record, according to my extensive(/obsessive) research, and photographic memory, these actresses are not lying about their age: Kareena, Priyanka, Sonakshi, Kangana, Deepika, Sonam...!

A 1 year age difference is still a difference, so it doesn't make sense in saying there's no age difference between you and the people mentioned. Not surprising that she sucks at maths too 😆
