Sonam Kapoor spoke to Filmfare about her life, career and her beauty secrets. The actress explained how she felt turning 30, and how she does not like to hide her real age, unlike many of her colleagues. Sonam said, "I love it (turning 30). I don't know whether 30 is the new 20. But I do know who I am. I was wishy-washy earlier. I've been finding myself, growing, creation...Earlier I was paranoid about hitting the age barrier. But now that I have, I feel so free and open. Nobody believes that I am 30!"
She added, "I have never lied about my age. Most of my contemporaries are of my age. Well, some of them are lying about their age. Except for Alia Bhatt - between Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha and me, there must hardly be a difference of a year or two. Look at Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. I am talking about the generation before me! They are still in their prime. I don't think age matters anymore."
