if the story is like wake up sid or doosra aadmi (raakhee, Rishi) , then its a different matter. WUS was beautifully cast.

Because in an interview for Aashqiue 2, she lied about her age

Well...

I have 2 older sisters who were big fans of Bollywood. They used to read all the magazines and talk about it all the time.

Then I discovered a box full of 100s of magazines (mostly FIlmfare, Cineblitz, Stardust) from the 70s to the 90s in my cousin's house about a decade ago. I was there for days! Just reading and lolling and soaking it all in.

And of course I have my own collection over the years. And I still buy some old ones on eBay (but they're so expensive!)

i dont know what you mean...i said shraddha, parineeti, look like the ideal co stars for varun, sushant, arjun, sid, throw in rajkumar rao, fukrey heroes, pyar ka panchanama heroes etc who are the same age. throw in vaani, anushkha diana penty, yami, jackie. i cant list everyone.

priyanka did star with arjun and ranveer. kareena did star with imraan and we all know how that looked dont we?😆

and it isnt without a qualm that srk and salman act with sonam, deepika. dont you see all the thread devoted to uncle and niece bashing?

as for your argument, sure why not cast a vidya balan opposite a sid malhotra because srk is acting opposite deepika. why not cast a kareena opposite a varun romantically because salman is romancing sonam onscreen. but...minty..are you gonna finance those films?

actually even nowadays cineblitz and stardust carry old 70s, 80s ka articles as Blast from the Past.

They are more scandalous than now. The old second hand shops sell the old film and other magazines...and they are so fun. especially stardust. There was one stardust article where a whole saga of how jeetu proposed to hema, she accepted, and they went to madras, then dharmendra rang up shobha jeetendras girlfriend and they all went to madras and persuaded hema not to take this step...

if you look at those magazines, none of todays heroines are a patch on zeenat aman, parveen babi in glamour.

The 70s were especially SUPER SEXED UP. I was so shocked. I mean today people think Sunny Leone is bad, but the magazines in the 70s were filled with 60% sex. There was talk of drugs and orgies and extra marital affairs and secret marriages and abortions and surgeries.

And the photo shoots (some have been posted on the forum in the past) were super seedy. 😭
