Actor Imran Khan believes that while hard work pays off, it is also important to have luck on your side. The 32-year-old says that all that actors can do is give their 100% to a project and leave the rest to destiny.
"You can't discount luck. Sometimes things click and sometimes they don't. There are a hundred variables that you cannot predict. So I don't even consider these areas. I think it's important to concentrate your energies on what you can change," says the actor, whose last film Katti Batti alongside Kangana Ranaut failed to impress the critics.
Imran says he never felt overshadowed by Kangana in the film. "You can't compare your hits and flops with other people's successful films. When we were shooting Katti Batti, Tanu Weds Manu (2011) had not released. Everyone has ups and downs in their careers. After Queen (2013), Kangana's next two films didn't do well, but one is not worried by these things. You don't sit and carry such stuff in your mind," he says.
He is yet to take up more work and says that he is in no hurry. "I have burnt my fingers by taking on films and not being happy with the way they turn out. I really need to be more choosy and particular about the work I take up. I don't want to be stuck with a product that I am not happy with," he says.
