Yeah; I aint concinced that taking a name for some paperwork in Pataudi makes her Muslim.
I do agree with hate igniting hate and everything else about why once shouldnt attack her or her deseased husband. But lets not pretend as if Sharma converted just for paper, her own culture was alienated for over 40 decades or at least in her kids growing years. Tjey had no influence of their Hindu Bengali side at all, thats not quiet "converting on paper". That was a conscious decision on her or her husband's or inlaws part. Not saying it was bad one everyone is free to choose whatever they want to choose. But in her case it wasnt just a technical converison. Im not sure when she married but I know that when Salmans parents married there was no special marriage in place in India enabling interreliggious marriages. One had to convert at least on paper to have a nikkaah.
See there are various interreligous marriages in Not just Bwood but real life too. And every one differs somtimes the kids and families grow up with both, one or none cultural/religious influences whatever the case may be to each his/her own. But clearly in Sharmilas case it was a muslim household, they were not celebrating anything else nor did they have any other influence. Even Saif and co addressing Sharmila N Mansoor as "ammi/abu" indicates what the influence in their household and there is nothing wrong with it as one has the choice but just as opposed to the Salim Khan family addressing parents as "mama/mummy/daddy" like for an instance on DKD a contestant asked Salman about his "amijaan" amd he went out of his way to point out that he didnt have an "amijaan" but an "ayii" further alluding to her Marathi origin saying they call their mother "mamma/mummy".
Again not saying its wrong but obviously conversion was more than just on paper and there is nothing wrong with it. About Saif and Soha I say more power to them, and also Saba as this is a free world and one is allowed to identify as whatever one identifies with. The fact that Saif is open and secular today shows one can change. Also I've seen ppl male the mistake of assuming that Babita is Christian with a British mother, Barbara Shivdasani wasnt full Brit but half, and she identifies as both Christian & Christian. Kareena grew up Hindu with a significant Christian influence.
i do agree with u about sharmilas past having nothing to do with the measage she is trying to convey now, but ppl will obviously jump at it especially these narrow minded extremists as they are idiots
