But it had no big stars.
Less expectations
Director is not that well known
I wonder why they didnt cast Liquid?
Anyway it is still good

Saw the movie - hilarious! The movie is better than first one, it's more cleaner with a tighter script and better characterization.

Among the actors Karthik stands out, his new monologue for 8 mins is a riot! How did he even remember all that? This guy needs to get more work! ... Sunny Singh was awesome too, he took liquids spot and I think he did better! ... Omkar was the weakest link - kind of bland at times

All three girls were pataka's haha. All of them did an amazing job!

The film has 2 negative points. One is that there are too many songs and all the songs suck! The third installment should be songless! Second negative thing is the film as a tad bit too long (maybe cuz of the songs) needed to be 10-15 mins shorter!

Would give it 9/10! A musttt watch!

Remember the song Chota Bachcha Jaan Ke from Masoom (1996)? It became a hit what with a kid doing the signature steps on the track's hook line Tupi tupi taap taap . The number also made the kid, Omkar Kapoor quite popular who there on went on doing films like Sridevi, Anil Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar starrer Judaai, Salman Khan starrer Judwaa among others, as Master Omkar Kapoor.

The actor who was in his tens then, is now in his twenties and is being re-launched as a hero in Luv Ranjan's Pyaar Ka Punchnama.

In conversation with Dailybhaskar.com, the actor talks about the tough struggle he went through even after being a child artist, to fetch himself a film as a hero. In a candid chat he also talks about his childhood memories with Salman Khan, his days as an assistant director and much more. Mentioned below are the excerpts from the conversation.

Q Your last film was Mela in 2000; what called for a comeback as a "hero" in 2015?

This has been my pursuit all the while! After seeing success as a famous child actor, I wanted to launch myself as a hero. The process took me 14 years. Seeing myself on the big screen as an actor has been my passion. Bus kabhi padhai (studies) mein mann laga nahi, aur acting kabhi kaam (work) laga nahi, so I'm here.

Q What made you pick up Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 as your launch pad?

Four years ago I remember I went to a theatre to watch Pyaar Ka Punchnama. I had a break up and was just out of a relationship and thus felt completely connected with the film. I had no idea then that I would be approached for the sequel of the movie. I received a lot of projects, but when the makers of this film got in touch with me, I could not let go of the film, which had created a space in the hearts of the youth.

Q From Mela (2000) to Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015), what have you been doing?

Post Mela when I was 12, my parents wanted me to concentrate on my studies. Thus, at the time when I was at my peak as a child artist I had to turn down some great film and television offers only to concentrate on my studies. Once I graduated in Commerce I thought I should start preparing myself for the re-launch.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 Collection 1st Weekend:

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 was steady on Sunday. According to the estimates Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 3rd day box office collection will be in the range of 8.5-9 crore.

The film is doing well in Delhi NCR multiplexes. It will rely on these theaters in the coming days to sustain. Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 1st weekend box office collection will be around 23 crore.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 box office collection in 1st weekend will be 16th highest opening weekend of 2015.

The film has done very well in the first weekend. It has once again proved that sequels are money making devices. Its prequel Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which was released in 2011, has gained a cult status among youth. So the recall value of this films is huge.

Now Monday will be the key as it has to sustain well. It will face tough competition from new release Shaandaar which is also targeted at youth. The film has to do better on weekdays as Shaandaar is releasing one day earlier.

Ugly would be a very harsh word,but I also agree he wasn't that cute in childhood!But he has grown up to be a very handsome guy!I find him really boyish,and I don't know why but he still gives me those chota bachcha jaan ke vibes 😉 😆
