Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 had a good weekend grossing 20.50 crore nett. The film grossed 5.75 crore nett on Friday, 7 crore nett on Saturday and 7.75 crore nett on Sunday. The growth was 22% on Friday and 10% on Sunday. It is a decent trend but not great. Better growth of around 30% plus would have set up the film well for a good run. Now it's all about the Monday Business which will tell if the film can be more than a one week runner.
The film is being driven by business in Delhi NCR and East Punjab and these area do hold well on the weekdays and this can be a boost to the film. Some areas have fared poorly with Nizam / Andhra being the worst of the lot.
The film beat the lifetime business of Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011) in just two days. That film had trended well at the box office but could not do that well due to very dull start but thus film has got benefit of the appreciation that Pyaar Ka Punchnama among its target audience mainly youth in the Delhi NCR area.
Maybe not,because Shaandaar is releasing on Thursday,so unfortunately PKP2 has lost one day!And nowadays business is only about the first week,and their bad luck is they got only six days,and now only three days are left,and collecting 20 crores in three days is almost impossible!But if Shaandaar won't be liked by audience,then PKP2 has a very good chance to earn 50 crores or more than that!But I want both the films to become a super hit,but let's see what happens 😳

Ya,1400 screens are very less compared to other films,but it can't get more screens because it doesn't have any known face!PKP was released in less than 1400 screens,but the second version got little more screens because of the PKP franchise!But it had the potential to become a super hit,if it would realised in more screens!But we can't do anything,but I hope it will become a super hit!I know it won't be easy,par sochne ke liya thodi na paise lagte hai 😆Originally posted by: ChotaBheem
