Why does Amir/SRK have more recognition overseas compared to Salman

I can tell you its ONLY srk and sallu that got me started with bollywood movies so to me they are international stars since I'm from America 😆

By that you mean specifically foreigners right and not the NRI audience? Salman does enjoy a strong NRI following no doubt about that. If you're talking about the lack of a strong non-indian audience, umm may have something to do with the fact that Salman's films are very desi, very indian (it's not a bad thing).

Whereas SRK is more urban, there's more international flair to his films (courtesy KJO).

Although the way Salman's popularity is growing I wouldn't be surprised if he starts gaining international recognition soon, especially post BB's success.

Obviously, because he got Rachel Shelley & Paul Blackthorne on board. Try to make without them and use local artist. Lagaan not only revolves India story but also British story. This bond to kick at oversea due to the content / involvement of British name & celebs

kuch bhi 😆...Lagaan went to Oscars and intl film festivals...it's content had wider appeal no doubt...similarly BB's content had wider appeal but no it only worked due to Sallu right 😆...it's kind of funny when it comes to Sallu then the credit goes to only him but when it's Aamir then every other actor is credited but not him 😆...

Y its funny? Aamir hardly gives credit to directors & script writers. Even BB went to Busan Film Festival. But anyone here bother? I'm not saying lagaan worked only because of British actors. But you can't deny the factor that two stars did pull the audiences. They may or may not that popular like Aamir is now but they do contribute to the success of the movie. No you can't snatch that just because Aamir is involve.

Lagaan went to Chicago,Locarno,Dubai,Stockholm,Leeds,Portland, Norweigan,Helsinki and many more International Film Festivals and had won several awards...It had received critical acclaim internationally...Lagaan was anti British film...not denying the contribution of those British artists but they were not stars like Kate Winslet...ur previous post made it look like they were huge stars...the film had wider appeal and all the artistes associated with the film benefited from its success and all the attention they got from media...

did u find Aamir's name in the credits for script,screenplay or direction of Lagaan?or any other films except for co-screenplay writer in HHRPK and direction in TZP?

@bold:the same logic applies to Sallu's film too...
