Singh Is Bling Makes Little Impact At The Box Office

Singh Is Bling has made little impact at the box office despite getting a pretty good weekend due to the holiday on day one. The film has grossed around 62 crore nett in week one with collections dropping badly from monday onwards. The Sunday business of just 14.50 crore nett signalled a downfall but you would have expected North India to hold a better better due to the type of film is.

The film has grossed 9.50 crore nett in its best circuit East Punjab but that is less than the first week figure of Tanu Weds Manu Returns. In Delhi /UP the film has grossed around 15 crore nett which is average. The figures in Mumbai of 17 crore nett are poor.

The Mumbai figure is the lowest for an Akshay Kumar starrer this year. Gabbar Is Back, Brothers and even Baby were all higher. There has been a huge 70% reduction of shows so an 80% drop week on week is the best it can hope for and even that will not be easy.

I m talking abt entire career, Ranbir had close to 200Crs movie. Akki in his life cant imagine that. And ppl say hez superstar, ghanta. As for flops, yaar dont even let me go thru akki's filmography, I will lose my mind how many flops he has given.

First of all lets see if Ranbir lasts out 2 decades at the top like Akki did.

Saying Akki didnt have huge blockbusters like Ranbir is like says films like Gadar/HAHK did less than films like ETT. Akki has given some of the biggest openers in films like Welcome Singh is King. The main problem with him now is shitty scripts in his commercial films.

Singh Is Bling Falls Further On Day Eight

Singh Is Bling had another big fall on day eight as it grossed around 1.50-1.60 crore nett. The collections have fallen badly in East Punjab also with just 25 lakhs nett from 2.65 crore nett in day one though that was a national holiday. The collections in Delhi /UP are 45 lakhs with Mumbai in the same range.

The film is hardly collecting in Southern and Eastern India (Bihar better than rest). The total of the film is eight days is 63.50 crore nett and though there will be growth on Saturday it will hardly help as the collections are at a low level now. The weekend can go to around 6 crore nett.

The film has basically not performed and the only plus if it can be called one is that the crash is not as bad as Brothers which grossed 6 crore nett in the whole of the second week. Singh Is Bling will finish with business of around 75 crore nett.
