You mentioned all possibilities ishita. Sins might be any one of these.

In Mamatala thalli tamil version, the lyrics following Sivagam's words being the law, says "With Love in one eye and the desam in the other".. They maybe referring to Baahu or Sivagami here.. Sivagami has love in one eye but she has to keep Mahishmathi's well-being in mind too.. So she may have done something, knowing that it's not the best for her son, but it was the only best solution for Mahishmathi..

Tbh, if stabbing baahu was for mahishmati 's benefit according to shivgami, then I must say I hate such thoughts and scenarios, how much great though it is.I'm reminded of Dumbledore (dunno if u read HP. ) and his ' greater good' thoughts. He cared less for Harry when it came to this.though ultimately it all benefited Harry, here we know its not the case.

If baahu was her own son,would she have sacrificed him for mahishmati, I wonder? ?maybe or maybe not.You know even in HP7, snape opposed Dumbledore coz Harry was dear to him more than the wizarding world. Shivgami should've thought about devasena and baby mahendra a moment, and if she actually knew bhalla 's nature beforehand, she's not a fool to think that rendering baahu weak in the battlefield is a good idea.if baahu 's own mom was in her place, she would've spared a thought about the future of her DIL and grandchild before doing anything to baahu for mahishmati 's greater good.

(Typing this,I feel that this is the exact grey shade SSR wants to portray about shivgami. Just think about it ishita ,after the war,when shivgami realised her mistake and went to rescue baby mahendra,if a grieving devasena had asked her the same question, that is,'had baahu been your own son, would you have done this to him rajmata? ?'.imagine shivgami 's guilt and torment upon hearing that.that would've made her refer her actions as 'sins' and give an ironclad promise to devasena that she'll safeguard mahendra. )

You could be right. Even I thought that it was the case until it was too late.. but listening to the bgm, Jeeva nadhi and remember there was an emotional scene/all artist combo scene where Ramya garu's performance was praised by all the other actors, made me think of this possibility.. That what if Sivagami sent out Baahu despite knowing Bhalla's nature..? She would definitely not want to sent him out, but she is helpless.. it makes up for a good emotional scene.. I don't know, just a guess from my side.. Another thing is that Sivagami is an intelligent lady and she lived with Bijjala for so long.. so even if not for Bhalla, she knows Bijjala.. that's why I thought she might have an idea but yeah.. this could be a wrong assumption too..

I was thinking what if bijjaladeva had a hand in vikramadev 's death too (unknown to shivgami ) and somehow baahu got to know about this from kunthala desam (they being the neighbouring kingdom might've known about it.) and after knowing bhalla 's true nature, baahu might've openly accused father-son duo,infuriating shivgami coz he did not have any proof (kattappa might've believed him though. ) and must've ordered him out of the kingdom (following bijjaladeva -bhalla brainwashing that baahu is blindly trusting devasena and kunthala people and acting on their words or something along that lines.)

(I know its quite dramatic but possible bhi hain,isn't it??)
