Well, I only listened to it once so far but you can tell there is drama..and mystery too, to a certain extent..
Also the jeeva nadhi bit is definitely important.. I tried to look at the meaning of the lyrics.. it means:
"With the wounds/scars of the past, and the dream of future in her lap, the river of life flows
As nothing else is permanent, it flows in the path of fate, heart broken " (there is a word in this line that could mean fate or even something negative.. )
"Through all hurdles (mountains that block & forests), legs of the river doesn't stop"
This is definitely the theme of Baahubali overall..
There are so many ways to take these lines..
1) Take it on a literal level - So the whole problem around Mahishmathi that plays a big role in next part is the river.. So possibly some dispute over the river, which will divide up Baahu & Sivagami possibly.. or just Bhalla & Baahu.. There may have been problems in the past with regards to it..even I thought this river plays an important role in part2,maybe a dispute between mahishmati and kunthala desam. To placate that, devasena 's proposal might have been brought as a political alliance btw the 2 kingdoms.
2)Underlying meaning:
@bold - River of life can be Sivagami.. she has wounds of the past and she holds Mahendra, the dream of future for Mahishmathi & Devasena.. and she doesn't stop.. no matter what comes her way and no matter who tries to injure her..
@red - This could be referring to Sivagami in the beginning of the part 1.. she is heart broken and just goes with the flow.. or This could be Sivagami in the flashback (which we will see in Part 2). So is there a possibility that Sivagami knew about Bhalla's true nature, way before the final war in flashback..? As in she knew about Bhalla's true nature (that is he will do anything to get the throne and he is powerful now) and if the whole force (majority of the army, with the exception of Kattappa and few others) was on Bhalla's side, she may have asked Baahu to step down, thinking that this will make Bhalla stop..giving a permanent solution to this issue.. She may have thought that Baahu's life won't be in danger if he was no longer the king.. and that Bhalla would be an avg king (I know his behavior at war was not something to forgive but she may have overlooked that thinking that it was just because of his thirst to emerge victorious over Baahu). So she may have asked Baahu to step down.. to bring in a peaceful situation in Mahishmathi and also to keep Baahu safe. (She probably knew about Bijjala's cunning ways and that Baahu is very innocent).this is very much possible ishita. But you remember in the beginning of part1,shivgami mentions about her 'sins' (not one,but many.any guesses you have😉??).And I don't think she knew bhalla 's real nature till it was too late,I mean,in front of her, bhalla, though aggressive, was an obedient son .
That making videos of bahubali and bhallaladeva where both are challenging each other, you can see shivgami is not present in the sabha. And when she had arrived, both bijjaladeva and bhallaladeva might've portrayed everything against baahu. (That is if SSR wants to keep shivgami as a positive character, he can show her getting manipulated, but if he wants her grey shaded (still dunno what's his definition? ?),then there might be other scenarios. )
What do you think?
