Anushka Sharma has had a great Bollywood career so far and she has delivered films that did quite well at the Box Office; until Bombay Velvet happened. The actress opened up and stated that it was a first flop for her and she was really hurt.
While talking to Niranjan Iyengar, on Look Who's Talking, Anu was asked how she felt when a film like Bombay Velvet of great caliber didn't work.
To that Anushka said,"I have never faced a..pauses... a flop. First time I am saying this. I've never faced it before. My films have done average well or they have done really well. It has never been like what happened with Bombay Velvet."
"And it's really painful. I was feeling like some death has happened in the family. It is painful as you are so invested in the film," she added.
Anushka became really attached to BV and revealed, "As I don't do so many films, I really get attached to the ones I do, I'm really involved. I had the best time shooting for it. Creatively it was the best experience. It was very unfortunate that it didn't make the money, it could have. It didn't become the film it could have."
"But I think you need to have these kinds of things in life to kind of, keep you grounded," said the actress-turned-producer who instantly recovered with Dil Dhadakne Do that released after Bombay Velvet.
