^^ That's disgusting. Somebody needs to tweet or mail about this shit to Eros now. Not that they would suddenly turn a new leaf, but they need to know how idiotic their channel actually looks with all this unnecessary sensationalism.

One, it was rated Adults only.

Second, News flash.
It was supposed to be disturbing. Watch the whole movie to get the context.

Raghu aint a hero. He is a man haunted by his wife's and child's death. Which puts him on a horrific path of revenge and destruction. And leads him to such a dark place; from where there is no coming back. The rape and consequently the things he does later show what he has become, a deranged, hopeless and pathetic being with just one purpose in life, Revenge.

The movie is dark, twisted and full of disturbing moments. It was never meant to be happy go lucky, boy meets girl, -do ten dances in a feild- and voila, end of plot. This is an, in his element Sriram movie.

I thought it was brilliant. One of the few BW movies I have seen the past two years which dont require you leave your brain outside. The cast from Nawaz, Varun to Huma, Rhadika were great as well.

---------------------------------

Back to the scene,

It personally came to me as a shock... and it kind of reminded me of the scene between John and Kangana in Shootout. -- It was okay, this film was rated for adults therefore this scene. I found the scene very disturbing but Varun Dhawan and Huma's chemistry is Mint.

At people comparing it with Maya Memsaab, ha ha ha.

Maya Memsaab scene was worse in every way possible... there is no comparison...Varun is not butt naked unlike Lungi.. neither can we see HUMA's nipples ...and then neither do we see any scene which shows Huma in between Varun's legs, both naked. I don't see any of it.

stop overreacting man.

😆

I saw SAL with my family and my dad asked me to forward that scene 😆

I agree, and that's one of the reasons why I wasn't really convinced with the climax. I wanted him to rot in jail instead of Laik. I wish the movie ended with him being locked up in the jail for ruining innocent lives.

Thats the point. He didnt go to jail. He got something even worse. His whole purpose was taken away from him. Going to jail would have been a far better route.

His whole life; he dedicated to revenge, after the murder that is. He went so far ahead that he knew nothing else. So when Laik died he was left with nothing at all. And even in his last moments Laik didnt give in. He didnt given Raghu the satisfation of winning. No, he went out on his terms.

People think Laik changed or his cancer/death somehow make him less a monster. Nope it didnt.
He killed a child, a wife, destroyed a family, put Raghu on the path of self destruction and he didnt give a damn. If he thought about it, it was only when he knew he was going to be dead in days. Even then he went to jail, confessed so that Raghu could live on. Not because he all of a sudden cared or realized his error (maybe a little bit) but because he wanted to go on a high, wanted to win.

He wanted Raghu to live and live with the knowledge that he saved his life, that Raghu never won, never got what he wanted.

Both of them were twisted, pathetic and beyond repair. They played their cat and mouse game till the end.

Did anyone notice when Huma's character leaves Raghu all alone, the atmosphere is dark and gloomy and nobody is in sight. Raghu is standing there with a blank look on his face like a man without a reason, purpose; his shoulders dropped in acknowledgement. It symbolizes tells what has become of him. Left alone in his dark place with no help, no recovery. I think it finally dawns on him there.

Also another thing I found ironic was that Laik wanted to be out of his cage, wanted to live, to enjoy life. But he got nothing of that sort. He was left to die in a cage surrounded by anything but life.

Raghu on the other hand hated the world, hated his life and wanted to be with his wife and kid. Yet he was to live, to walk the very place he hated, to be without his wife and child.

That was the price they paid.

^^ That's the way you saw it. I personally wanted him to rot in jail. If Raghu indeed wanted to surrender, then he wouldn't have planned a murder in such a way and disposed the bodies the way he did. If going to jail would let him win then the first thing he would have done after killing them would be to surrender himself, which he didn't do. He did try to escape from it. That's the reason why I didn't want him to escape from it.

Coming to him feeling the loss for the entire life, he would have anyway felt it. Those murders and ruining innocent lives would have haunted him for forever anyway.

Yeah, but what you say does make sense because once he completed his jail sentence the guilt would have probably lessened a bit as he would have been already punished by the law, atleast the feeling of serving the punishment would have been there and Liak snatched even that possibility for him. True.

Still, I don't know why I wanted him to rot in jail. Locking him in jail would have assured the fact that he is being punished whereas the other possibility is something framed in our heads by observing the character's traits in general. 😛

I love this movie. BW needs to make more gritty movies like these. It is a rape scene and it was done on purpose. It's one of those movies which turns the hero into an anti-hero and all his actions turn grey.
I thought Varun was really really good. Especially like 2 movies in to attempt something of this nature. He really does have raw talent and a natural when it comes to delivery.

i guess the ending twist is a bit shock and audience wanted varun to get punished for his badla !!and nawaz going to jail instead of varun made him hero of the movie not varun..

btw the movie is A rated itself...so showing voilent/sex scenes is not out of scenes..
