We have been in love with the Disney characters and it would not be wrong to say the beautiful Disney princesses have been closer to our hearts. Be it petite Cinderella, the classic Aurora, delightful Snow White or the bubbly Ariel, we have liked them all since our childhood. Several times in Hollywood, Disney princess movies have been made but we just wonder how would be the spin off if they were played by our very owndesi actresses from the Bollywood. We have a string of beauties like Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and more who can boast of all the qualities to appear the same as Disney princesses. The eleven members of the current franchise in 2015 are Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Merida.

1. Alia Bhatt - Rapunzel

Rapunzel, the tenth Disney Princess was born in a royal family. We all know the story of the free-spirited princess with magical golden hair who was snatched away from her family when she was just an infant by Mother Gothel. Despite being caged in a tower for eighteen years, Rapunzel's determination to follow her dreams were subdued but only grew more. And we think our bubbly 22-year-old actress Alia Bhatt is perfectly suited to play Rapunzel.

2. Deepika Padukone - Cinderella

Cinderella, one of the original Disney princesses had a miserable life before Fairy Godmother helped her meet the Prince Charming. Despite being ill-treated by her evil step mother and sisters, she still believes in kindness and an overall sweet person. She believes that her kindness will eventually get repaid and it does. To play the gentle Cinderella, gorgeous Deepika Padukone is a perfect choice.

3. Katrina Kaif - Aurora

Katrina Kaif has always been appreciated of her princess like looks. So when you seeking out for a Bollywood actress for the character of Aurora, an English princess, it has to be Katrina Kaif. Aurora or the Sleeping Beauty boasts of immense beauty. While a curse puts her in deep slumber, she has a happily ever after ending when Prince Phillips kisses her. Perfect.

4. Sonam Kapoor - Belle

Sonam Kapoor became India's first Disney princess with her character in Disney's Khoobsurat but the audiences feel she can add a lot of drama as Belle from the Beauty and the Beast. India's biggest name on the fashion circuit looks no less than any princess and has been a head turner. Just like Belle's independent, strong headed and courageous character, Sonam too boasts of all these qualities.

5. Jacqueline Fernandez - Mulan

Mulan is not your demure Princess but a feisty woman. She does not believe in mere looks and grace but believes in fighting her own battle. She believes her instinct and knows the art of survival. And to play someone as gutsy and a natural beauty, Sri Lankan diva Jacqueline Fernandez is an apt choice.

6. Shraddha Kapoor - Jasmine

Jasmine is the sixth Disney Princess of the franchise and has been hailed for her free-spirit and independent personality. She is full of life, does not mind going on adventurous journeys and not fuss over looking for the love of her life. We feel Princess Jasmine should be none other than vivacious beauty Shraddha Kapoor.

7. Anushka Sharma - Ariel

Ariel is curious, young, rebellious mermaid Princess who loves to explore. She hates being bound up and depicts the characteristics of a typical teenager. Nevertheless, Ariel is kind to everyone, sometimes getting herself into trouble due to lack of judgment. Well, how about smiling beauty Anushka Sharma to play the character of Ariel.

8. Priyanka Chopra - Tiana

Tiana has been admired by fans and critics alike for her positive characteristics. She is hard working, has focus and driven towards work; Tiana is seeking to make her individual independent personality. And to portray this strong willed princess, we can only only think of Priyanka Chopra.

9. Kangana Ranaut - Merida

Merida is just not you demure and dreamy eyed typical princess. She does not believe in getting married or looking for her true love. This Disney Princess boasting of fiery red curly mane is highly skilled in sword fighting, horse riding and arrows. This young and confidant princess is role model for the little girls and there is no reason why our Bollywood curly beauty Kangna Ranaut should not don this role.

10. Kriti Sanon - Snow White

Snow White has been described as the fairest maiden on the land. According to her step mother's Magic Mirror, Snow White has hair as black as ebony, lips as red as the rose, skin as white as snow'. Do we not have cute Kriti Sanon in Bollywood? Enough Said!

11. Esha Gupta - Pocahontas

The name of Pocahontas when broken down means "Little Mischief" or the "naughty one" and true to her name, she is known for her playfulness, loves to adventure and possess several qualities like speaking to nature, spirits and animals. She is also highly spiritual and noble in nature. This combination of nobility and playfulness can be well portrayed by talented and gorgeous beauty Esha Gupta.
