Even though everyone picks on Abhishek a lot, i do strongly feel that he is a really good actor. I think he can do a lot of good work but for some reason his stars never line up!

He defiantly went downhill after Dostana and Paa he crashed!

I thought he was very good in Yuva, Bunty Aur Babli, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (Yes, he and Preity were the saving grace in this movie!), Guru, Dostana, Delhi 6, Bol Bachchan (he was very good!), HNY (For me, he was the best actor in this movie)

I feel like he never recovered from Drona. That was supposed to be his big epic film that would catapult him into superstardom. Yet it was easily the crappiest film I have ever seen. I do agree that he has also been unlucky, as much as I hate to use that word as an excuse. But who would have thought a Mani Ratnam movie and an Aushotush Gowarikar film would do as badly as Ravaan and KHJJS did.

I think Abhishek chose Directors over scripts. And unfortunately the directors just made their worst films with Abhishek. Who wouldn't choose a Ashutosh Gowarikar movie aftet he made Lagaan, Swades and JA? But KHJJS, was a disaster and make less than half of the same director's What's Your Rashee which starred a flop look alike of Hrithik Roshan. JBJ was with a Great Cast and Shaad Ali after 2 hits in a row, one with Abhishek too. That flopped. Sarkar Raj was the next flop which is strange because it had the Amitabh-Abhishek duo plus his wife, and the first Sarkar movie was pretty successful as well. Then Game was a huge disaster and I think the first disaster of Farhan Akhtar. Besides Game, Excel Entertainment has a pretty solid BO record so I can't blame Abhishek for choosing that film either. And the Game director gave us the superhit Delhi Belly a couple of just 3 months after Game. Dum Maaro Dum was a flop too, even though he teamed up with his Buddy Sippy, and they made Bluffmaster before this. After that was Players which I think is the biggest disaster of Abbas Mustan, but they were coming off the success of Race so can't blame Abhishek there either. And now AIW is a flop even though it is coming from the OMG director.
