I Like both cinema... I may not watch those films in cinema hall, but do watch on dvd print, films like Black Friday, Ugly, Haider, Maqbool are some of my favorites.

It's just coz this forum has a habit of 1st trashing Masala fiilms (Especially of Salman) then start praising those Art films, now i am returning the favor 😆

Back in '94 he probably got away by doing 12 films in a year cos the influence of cable tv and music channels wasn't huge, along with city promotions, radio, meet fans etc, so probably people din mind watching actors in multiple films. Now the scenario is different, films aren't the only source of entertainment. Also with cable tv actors are on your face all the time. Overkill is something the public experiences with Akki. He releases 4-5 films a year so he's all the time on tv, radio etc promoting his films, interviews, songs, trailers. He needs to calm down and reassess his career.

I Think Akki is more focused on earning as much money he can rather planning to get big Hits, if hits come, its good, if not he is able 2 pull Up Average fares. Now that he is in position that he can make films as producer, he should as a producer should think as his money invested is not coming back or giving profits, unless it's too late 2 do damage repair.

Health is the biggest reason for him doing less movies. He gets injured too often.

I would say another Neeraj Pandey movie 'A wednesday' a masterpiece but it flopped
Ben Kingsly act in Naseerudin's role in English remake but that was bad remake and English one got bad reviews opposite to original

That was so overrated film that Akki thought he can pull off Critical as well as Commercial success by doing films with NP, he failed commercially while Critical acclaim came for NP more rather than Akki.
