Ok...I thought Jamia was Bachelors...then you are right...he went for Hansraj rather than IIT.

Getting a PHD or even B or M in engineering is not the same as in any finance study. Engineering is by far the hardest field... at least here it is.

I thought he said he was a average-below average student? 😕 On that episode in that Paanchvi Paach show. Not sure you can be a software engineer with that much intelligence (pun intended). 😛

Never considered him to be intelligent tbh, he just has gift of the gab (which I consider seperate from intelligence).

He was quite bright student and got "sword of honour" in 12th grade. But he did not appear/clear JEE. These are myths. He did BA from Hansraj college..

I dont think the IIT thing is a myth. I remember reading it in a very old article...after Fauji even before he joined BW.

Yes, during those days these rumors were there... I had even read that he got 17th rank in JEE... which is not true. He did not appear/clear JEE 1982, 1983 and 1984...

How are you so sure?😆I have no clue about his rank. In the article it was said he got thru but didnt join as he didnt want to leave his mom.

PS: IIT in early 1980s wasnt a big deal as it is today. Truly interested/geeky students used to get thru. The rest of the world didnt bother much for engineering.
