Definitely music played a big part in EV's opening and also this whole mystery around who's the villain helped gain a lot of buzz for the movie I feel.

With brothers, they didn't really go all out on the promotions and neither do we have chartbuster music to increase the buzz. But still hoping for around 15-16cr.

More than anything I'm just excited to see Sid on the screen after a long wait.

Yeah apart from Khan movies,all others movies which opened well in recent past has benefited from holiday advantage,MUSIC and promotions.Since Brothers has none of these factors,in addition the genre doesnt attract family audience initially, 15Cr will be decent I think😃

Yes Sid onscreen after 1 yr in a movie that has good content and great cast is treat enough for us.

Brother's Music is a big let down...it will affect it's opening big time...not a single song is chartbuster...Sun saathiya and Galliyan did wonders for ABCD2 and EKVillain... in real world there is no excitement...none of my friends are willing to come with me to watch this movie...they all are like...it's such a serious movie..not our type and blah blah...KJo ditched at the last moment...he could have saved it by aggressive promotions but seems like he doesn't care...he didn't even promote it on JDJ

Akki's films don't open the way the Khans do, but they still make a lot of money and profit for everyone. And this one is already being thought of as becoming Akshay's biggest opener, and even biggest movie ever.

See ppl who enjoy only the comedy/romance genre wont be excited for action drama,no matter how huge the promotions😆..especially girls,trust me on that.Even I wouldnt have paid this one attention if Sid wasnt part of it,as not a fan of MMA as a sport.But according to the team,there are a share of audience who enjoy such movies and if they like it,its a win.WOM determines things.Yes music was a huge let down and it affected the opening.A Chikini chameli could've saved it

Starpower can only be built on years and years of credibility.I dont think any young star apart from Ranbir has starpower..yes even after his recent flops,I am saying this...u need hit music,promotion,entertainment for newbie movies to be hit..Sid has only done 3 movies..He disappeared 1 yr after EV ..Ppl memory is short..But whatever it is,if Brothers is appreciated universally,it will definitely benefit Sid in long run.

The actor also made an interesting revelation about his co-star. He said that Akshay too got teary-eyed when he dubbed for the film. "Akshay and I were discussing Brothers a few days ago and he was like, 'Maine dekhi yeh film us din, dubbing mein. Film ne emotional kar diya mujhe' (I watched the movie while dubbing, and it made me emotional). For a change, boys will cry during the film."
