Today I am gonna discuss the hottest film of the season, Brothers box office prediction and the impact it can made on box office.
Agneepath fame producer Karan Johar and director Karan Malhotra's upcoming collaboration Brothers' is ready to hit the theaters this Friday. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Jacquline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff in lead roles.
Brothers is an action-drama film (Actually more than this). It is the Hindi remake of 2011 Hollywood movie titled Warrior' which starred Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton. Though the original was a big disappointed at the box office, the hindi remake presented by Dharma Production, has lot of expectations.
Brothers is about two estranged, street-fighting brothers David (Akshay) and Monty Fernandes (Sidharth) who square off against each other in a mixed martial arts tournament. The film has loads of action stunts which you haven't seen before in any hindi film. Akki and Sid have given their 100% to get prepared and portray their characters perfectly. (If you have doubt, watch Brothers Anthem' video song and you will know what I am talking about.)
The film has got UA certificate from the censor board which means everybody can see this movie except kids below 12 years of age. This film is not only for those who love action and Mar-Dhar' kind of movies, but also for family audiences. It has a very emotional plot.
The way it has shown the relationship of two brothers and a husband-wife, is something we haven't seen for a long time. I can bet, your eyes will be moist at many scenes in the movie.

The biggest plus point is that it is coming on Indepence day weekend which is known as one of the biggest release time after Christmas, Eid and Diwali. The promos and songs have managed to impress the audiences and the buzz of the film is super-strong. Promotional wise, it was quite low before sometime but now it has started well all over. Another good point is, there is not even a single negativity about the film in the market which will surely help in good opening of the film.
Brothers is releasing at that time when audiences are back to theaters. Thanks to back-to-back All Time Blockbusters Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Films that released last friday failed to stand at expectations which will also help Brothers to do more good as all those who can't spend 500 rupees per week will also come to watch this film.
As per insiders, Brothers is going to be the hat-trick for both Akshay and Sidharth. Akki has already given two hits Baby' and Gabbar Is Back' this year and eyeing to repeat it with Brothers. In other side, Sid's track is also very good so far with back-to-back successes like Student of The Year, Hasee Toh Phasee and Ek Villain.
Brothers Box Office Prediction
As per the estimate, Brothers will be releasing over 3500 screens all over India. The film is all set to take the second highest opening of this year behind Bajrangi Bhaijaan which collected 27.25 crore on day 1. If the film gets positive WOM from viewers and film critics, it has huge chance to become the highest grosser of Akshay Kumar surpassing his previous biggest grosser Rowdy Rathore (133.32 crore).
Brothers can collect 17-20 crore on Friday which is a normal day. The second day is the holiday all over India due to Indepedence day and hence film would enjoy huge jump and the final number could even touch 25 crore mark on Saturday. The Sunday business should also be in the same range. The first weekend seems over 70 crore. It sould surpass 100 crore before ending its first week run. The lifetime business should be around 160-180 crore depending on the word of mouth.
