Salman Khan is always in the news, either for his good deeds or his controversies, both the acts being pole apart. Now recently Salman Khan made a series of Tweets where he expressed his opinion that in the 1993 blast case, it is not Yakub but his brother Tiger who should be hung.

However this statement of Salman Khan garnered criticism from many. Now as a precautionary measure, Mumbai Police has deployed security outside Salman Khan's residence Galaxy Apt. in Bandra.

As per sources, an official from the Mumbai Police said, "We have deployed security as a precautionary measure as we fear that some people who have raised objection to his tweets may try to react against the actor. We have also alerted the actor to be cautious."

Yakub Memon is set to be executed on July 30 for his role in Mumbai blasts in which 257 people were killed and 712 injured. Yakub is the brother of one of the main absconding accused, Tiger Memon.

I had tweeted that Tiger Memon should hang for his crimes and I stand by it. What i also said is that Yakub Memon should not hang for him.

I have not said or implied that Yakub Memon is innocent. I have complete faith in the judicial system of our country.

Many lives were lost in the Mumbai blasts. And I have repeatedly said the loss of one innocent life is equal to the loss of all humanity.

My dad called & said I should retract my tweets as they have the potential to create misunderstanding. I here by retract them.

I would like to unconditionally apologise for any misunderstanding I may have created unintentionally.

I also strongly condemn those who are claiming my tweets are anti religious. I have always said I respect all faiths and I always will.
