Bajrangi Bhaijaan is set to touch 500 crore Worldwide inside second week and it is some achievement. Film thus become 3rd film in history of Bollywood to reach this big magical milestone. Earlier films which touched this magical mark are Dhoom 3 and PK both starring Aamir Khan in lead roles. Thus, Salman Khan joins him in this big league. Good news is that film still looks unstoppable and there is realistic chance that film will also touch 600 in coming days.

BB has collected a huge INR 266.5-267 crore nett in 13 days at Indian Box Office. Also, film has collected a huge $20 Million (INR 127.5+ crores) in Overseas. Thus, gross total Worldwide stands at currently 484 crores approx. Still 2 days of Overseas and 1 day of India business is to be added to it till end of second week. Means, film will enter 500 crore club Worldwide inside week two. This is celebration times for Bollywood as BB has arrived as saviour to Indian box office which is somewhat dull in 2015.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan Worldwide business -

India (13 days) - INR 266.5-267 crore nett (INR 356 crore gross).
Overseas (12 days) - INR 127.5+ crores.

Worldwide gross - INR 483.5+ crores approx.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan Closing In On 500 Crore Worldwide

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is closing in on the 500 crore mark for Worldwide business. The film is looking to close the week in Overseas at around $20 million after two weeks which is around 127 crore. The business in India will be 368 crore in terms of gross boxoffice.

This will take the gross worldwide business to 495 crore and on Friday it will hit 500 crore. The only two films ahead of it are PK at Dhoom 3 at 735 crore and 536 crore respectively. But these films have extra business from markets like China and Japan where Bajrangi Bhaijaan has not released and may not release. PK has added 122 crore from these markets and Dhoom 3 around 20 crore.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is on course to cross Dhoom 3 though PK is unlikely even if we take the 613 crore Worldwide business without China. Bajrangi Bhaijaan may finish up at around the 575 crore mark and if third and fourth week really hold up then outside chance of 600 crore.

This week will see a major release in Drishyam but it may have to play second fiddle to Bajrangi Bhaijaan which will be in its third week but still may outdo Drishyam. Bajrangi Bhaijaan dropped for the first time on Wednesday but it should still get a solid third weekend. Especially if the trend is like last week when Saturday and Sunday saw huge growth.

The Friday will be interesting and it is not of the question that the Bajrangi Bhaijaan 15th day can be better than the first day of Drishyam. Drishyam looks a Mumbai circuit film with not much for North and East India so collections in North and East will most likley be better for Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

There will not be much between the two films on Friday as Drishyam does not look like opening and Bajrangi Bhaijaan is on a steady run. For Drishyam it is about word of mouth and a huge jump will required on Saturday but even here Bajrangi Bhiajaan will compete as it is sure to get a huge jump on Saturday.

Drishyam will have paid previews starting at around 8pm on Thursday with multiplexes having 1 or 2 screenings.
