How does footfalls data keep on changing ?

... by BOI site ? , I guess verdict changes were not enough that they are now increasing no. of tickets sold ( footfalls ) of a film after what 10-15 years of their release 😆 , and these are not minor changes in new list but big ones ..

Some gems here -

- Border is below Kuch Kuch hota hai in old one by some 14 lakhs but now has a lead of 14 lakhs in the new list . Hainnn ?? who is buying tickets when it is not in cinemas anymore.

- Gadar, Raja Hindustani & few others footfalls got increased by about 1 crore . wonder which calculator they use ?

- BOI declared PK had lesser footfalls then 3Idiots many times in January but now its ahead 😆

- DTPH appears in the new list when it was nowhere to be found in the old one.

Is it possible that a movie's tickets are still selling when they are out of theater 😲

BOI has its own agenda..I don't know how it makes a difference to the stars.They seem to take a lot of pains to promote the stars they favor.

These are only for India i think. And BOI themselves said few months back that 3I is a bigger hit coz it had more footfalls .

This all time list ignores old films.

Ignored Sholay, Mughal E Azam, Aradhana etc!

Infact Coolie alone had 9 crore tickets sold (it is in India Today archives).

If a film like Coolie can be this high then imagine how much other films of that era must have done!

It is so amusing that BOI's "all time" only begins from 90s and pretends no cinema existed before that!
