- Khamoshi (1996) - Manisha won a Filmfare Award for it

- Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) - Karisma won a Filmfare Award for it

- Dil Se (1998) Manisha was nominated for Filmfare

- Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) - Aishwarya won a Filmfare Award for it

- Mohabbatein (2000) - Aishwarya was nominated for Filmfare

- Gaddar (2001) - Amisha won a Filmfare Award for it

- Shakti (2002) - Karisma won a Filmfare Award for it

- Chalte Chalte (2003) Rani was nominated for Filmfare

- Kal Ho Na Ho (2003) - Preity won a Filmfare Award for it

- Veer-Zaara (2004) Preity was nominated for Filmfare

- Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (2006) Rani was nominated for Filmfare

- Baabul (2006)

- 3 Idiots (2009) Kareena was nominated for Filmfare

Despite rejecting films that were career-defining for many other actresses, Kajol still retains a strong legacy and is currently still at a strong position. That is just incredible.

Gaddar?? Really?? This is the first i am hearing about it.

I dont think rejecting any of these movies is a huge loss other than HDDCS. THAT with Kajol would've been awesome, even though Ashwariya did a great job in the role.

There were also strong rumors back in the early 2000s that SLB wanted SRK-Kajol in Devdas but i guess that never materialized. I don't see Kajol in Paro's role though because she is not pretty enough. I think that 'chand mein daagh' line was better suited for Ashwariya's beauty.

KHNH wouldve been great as well but that role was more suited for Preity and Kajol had a genuine reason to refuse it.

She still rules. Audience still vouch for her acting prowess. Imagine where she would have been has she done half of these movies. 😛

But I strongly admire her strength of character. She is so sure about her life, her choices (They may not look good to us) but I have hardly seen her regretting any of her decision. And she is very confident persona. I like that about her.

I remember i was really upset when she rejected KANK cos i was desperate to see SRK-Kajol together like always 😆 But boy, gotta give it to her..To actually reject an SRK-Karan Johar film cos she din like the script- i can hardly think of any other heroine who would have done that 😆 She may be lazy but she is one person who is never desperate for films..She does what she likes & thats something i really like about her ( though i still wish she takes up challenging roles outside her comfort zone)

She's still doing good as well as she would've done those movies. Only a shame to see she didn't accept KHNH.

She does what she likes in her personal life too. Like she got married when she was on peak of her career. 5 top grossing movies in year 1998 & she gets married in 1999.

Mostly everyone said.. career suicide. Have never come across once where she feels the same.
