Seems that papa Pankaj Kapur is a worriedman since none of his actor son Shahid Kapoor's liaisons have led to the saath pheras. In the past few weeks, Pankaj has made quite a few trips to Punjab. A family friend says that the trips were to find a girl for Shahid.
Says the source, "Pankaj is really concerned. He is keen to find a nice homely girl for his son and wants to see him settled in a year's time." But Shahid being Shahid will he agree to an arranged marriage? Adds the source, "Shahid is extremely progressive, and is on a lookout for a life partner who compliments him well. It is possible that it could be amatch picked by his father since he trusts his father's judgement more than anybody else's."
When contacted, Pankaj admitted that he has been making frequent trips to Punjab of late, but quickly added that those have been for "other reasons." When probed further, the veteran actor shared his concern, saying, "It is very normal for a father to want to see his son settled. I want the same for Shahid. However, I am not actively looking out for a match for him. I will whole heartedly support his choice of a partner." In the past, Shahid has been in a relationship with Kareena Kapoor and has also reportedly dated Vidya Balan and Priyanka Chopra
