Amazing post, amitabh is highly overrated actor of Bollywood, he had done petty characters in movies like chupke chupke(dharmendra and sharmila starer) and Anand( Rajesh khanna starer) and I really feel bad when media today called them Amitabh's super hit movies when he had not done anything in front of superstars like Rajesh khanna and dharmendra in those movies...hight of chamchagiri.

i enjoyed his movies throughout 70s... but yes, he is hell overrated and his career had collapsed by the end of 80s... KBC rescued him...

lol, it seems many of us had this inside our heart but now that some1 opened the thread, it's coming out like volcano 😆

I am a bolly buff and love old films. The other films have aged really well except this tharki's films. Bro, I'm 22. Didn't see those films original run.

I think he's the king of marketing, that's all. Aamir is a bacha in front of his marketing skills.

Exactly this. He has the media eating out of his hands. He was nothing in those films, just a sidey.

Liked him in some older movies...Amar Akbar Anthony, Deewar,

Do Anjane, Adaalat, Mr. Natwarlal, etc...But now he's terribly

overrated...

I don't like any of AB's earlier movies... Most of them had the same old revenge stories and the actresses had only flowerpot roles.. I recently watched some of Rajesh Khanna's earlier films like Aradhana and Amar prem...They were gems compared to AB's overhyped films..

I like Do Anjaane too actually. Because it wasn't his typical film and because of Rekha. Never liked Amar Akbar Anthony. Dunno why that film is so popular. There's a little known film "Dharm Kaanta" with that same lost and found story which is tonnes more entertaining.

Rajesh Khanna's films had the best stories I think. He hardly did any formulaic films especially in his initial run. Later he ventured into the OTT films during Buddhha B's reign.

He was the best actor of Hindi cinema with a mass fan following.
