Its like DLKH is a hit at 30 cr and Jai Ho was a semi hit at 115 cr...I mean how?? I always found it weird the way hits and flops are decided in BW😕
Because the budget is different. It is easier for a big-budget movie to garner more eye-balls. If a huge amount of money is being spent on Music, Promotions, Dancing, Hiring huge stars, it's obvious that more people will know about the movie and come to watch it. But what's the point if all the money you have used to create buzz is not even being recovered, forget reaping profits. The income is not justifying your budget.
And why shouldn't distributors loss/profit be considered? They are the ones who bring the movie to you, who buy it and show it to you. If they themselves are running in losses, dukaan hi band karke baithna padega.😆 It's like saying, I sold few glasses of Juice, many people bought it, I didn't recover my money and ran into losses yet many people drank it, so let me enjoy and feel happy about it. Nahi chalta na aise, doob jaayenge hum toh. 😆
A business can not just about the customers. Customers are most important, no doubt about it but doesn't mean the investors can run into losses.
Btw I'm in no way talking about stardom and all. Not even about the scale of stardom. This is the last topic I would want to debate on. I'm just talking about the criteria. 😆
