@mistyeyed - But knowing that media can be wronged, your opinion which is solely based on what media portrays as you put it ... sounds quite confident. So, it makes one think. That's all. Cutting in - I don't think one can call newbies starring opposite SRK flowerpots. Be it DP in OSO or Anushka in RNBDJ ... Can safely say even for debutantes they all had strong roles to play opposite him.

I am just a bit amused at the video posted. Its clearly a copy of bollywood songs, the types that KJo and YRF make. Find it difficult to imagine that girls and boys can dance and flirt like this in open in Pakistan without the Taliban baying for their blood 😆

And also, the Diya's are considered a very 'Hindu' thing, won't there be objection in Pakistan over this?

@ bold: That's not true. You'd be surprised to see how in many major cities in Pakistan...everything's all contrary to what the media portrays. Pakistanis living abroad are actually NOT as advanced as some Pakistanis residing in these major cities. Of course, then there conservative people also.

Also, Pakistani and Indian weddings have a lot of similar traditions. We have similar wedding ceremonies, apart from a few differences which is where religion plays a part. While the diyas etc may have some significance in Hinduism? in a Pakistani Muslim wedding, it's just seen as something cultural, if used.

My post was not meant to be offensive towards Pakistani's at all. I was genuinly astonished to see (and now know) that boys and girls can dance together at weddings ect. Because even the Muslim friends I have in India are quite conservative and they don't seem to mix freely with the opposite sex, so I just assumed that Pakistan being an Islamic nation, would be even more conservative.
