While finding brides and grooms online is an accepted norm in our country, dating apps are the latest addition to the long list of meeting prospective life partners. Along with Leonardo DiCaprio who is on dating app Tinder under a fake name - Leonard, tons of other celebrities from the West have logged into the app. Some to find love and some for some pure, unadulterated fun'. Let's see how Bollywood fares when it comes to using dating apps.
Sushant Singh Rajput
Testing dating skills undercover won't do any harm
Though the young actor has been in a relationship with Ankita Lokhande for the past few years, Sushant says the thrill of being on a dating site with a hidden identity is an exciting idea. "I have never tried it before but the idea is surely tempting. Though dating is something that I won't need to do in the future, but the idea of testing your dating skills undercover once in a while, won't do any harm."
Kangana Ranaut
Being a little discreet is fun
The fearless actress who has always been vocal about her love life, says that though she isn't into dating apps, she actually hid her profession from her ex-boyfriend to keep things real. She explains, "Though I am not on Tinder, I hid my identity from my ex-boyfriend Nicholas for a very long time. Initially, when we started dating, I didn't tell him I was an actress as I didn't want him to have any pre-conceived notions. Also, I wanted to have a normal relationship without the scrutiny. It was only when he came to India and he happened to read the newspapers, that he realised I was an actress. He was shocked and asked him why I hid that from him for long. Being a little discreet is fun but you have a lot of explaining to do, when you get caught."
Amit Sadh
I have met lots of interesting women on Tinder
The actor is quite a regular on Tinder. Not only has he met some amazing women all over the world, he is also friends with a couple now. He says, "I have hooked up In NYC and LA. I have met a lot of interesting women as well. I won't lie. Tinder is good fun. I like it. I am on it. A lot of my close friends have advised me against it. A lot of actors told me that I shouldn't be on Tinder. I shot back by saying, Why? Am I not human?' I am not going to stop living just because I am an actor. Acting is my job. I am on the app with my own name." He goes on to explain why it seems like he is an expert on dating apps. "So, I was in Berlin and I was really bored. I browsed the internet for tips on how to use Tinder better. I am a Tinder professor now. I know most dating sites but I am not on all of them", he laughs.
Varun Dhawan

One of B-Town's most eligible bachelors, Varun Dhawan is in a relationship with long-time girlfriend Natasha DalaI for the past couple of years. Though he refuses to acknowledge his committed status, he says Tinder doesn't excite him. "I have never tried and I don't think I ever will. Also, thank God, I haven't had to use any dating apps."
