if you find DDD better, than 99.9%, not only janta, but critics also found twm2 epic. so lets deal with it.

here is some more dope on TWM2 and DDD...last night i went whistling to my nearest theater to dekho DDD. and guess what, never bothered to check tickets availablity online. surprise...SOLD OUT!

and i tell you why? cos TWM2 is getting 4 showings and DDD only 3. imagine in 3rd wk twm2 is getting 4 showings.

well i have now decided to wait till tuesday...to watch DDD. i will tell my supervisor at work that suddenly my stomach is not feeling too good and i need to head home. i will arrive at theaters 2 hours before DDD showing and gut feeling says..i will be successful.

Released in around 2300 screens in the domestic domain last week, Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do enjoyed a pretty good first weekend. The film boasts of a star-studded cast including the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar and Anil Kapoor and is strictly targeted for the multiplex audiences. And that's exactly where this lavish film made all the right noises.

Dil Dhadakne Do, as predicted faced a slight competition from Tanu Weds Manu Returns that has made a whopping 125.28 crore in 3 weeks from it's release. DDD opened to a decent sum of Rs. 10.53 crore approximately on Friday. Well, it didn't break any of the opening day records set by other films released in 2015 so far, but it was a good number for the start. The weekend shows picked up once the positive reviews started flowing in and the occupancy grew by around 25-30% as it managed to bank Rs. 12.27 crore approximately and Rs. 14.25 crore approximately on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The total weekend collections of the film stand at approximately Rs. 38 crores.

The multi-starrer is having a brilliant run on international waters too as it has collected Rs. 21.55 crore in 3 days from its release.

Dhadakne Do will need to bank strong this week, as it'll face tough competition from the Emraan Hashmi - Vidya Balan starrer Hamari Adhuri Kahaani that's all set to hit the theatres coming Friday.


Will this urban appealing multi-starrer cross the 100 crore mark? The week to come will tell.
