My Review -

It was an entertaining watch overall with a good message that you need to follow what your heart says & shouldnt compromise on your happiness. First half which was slow with too much unecessary narration in middle by Aamir , only after 40-45 mins. the movie catches up speed. Second half was gripping and had more memorable scenes , Didnt liked climax much and also the fact that they didnt gave proper ending to Kabir-Farah & Rana-Noorie's love stories. Music overall was weak but liked Pehli baar on big screen.

Performance wise , liked PC the most , she had a lesser screen space than i expected but she played her part really well. Ranveer had a good chemistry with Anushka & stood out in comic scenes , wanna see him in a full-fledged comedy movie soon. Farhan & Anu were alright as their love interests. Shefali was good as Mrs. Mehra , glad that this role came to her rather than Madhuri and other rumored names. Anil was a little OTT in many scenes. Supporting cast Rahul, Vikrant & the girl that played Noorie (she was cute ) were good .

Few things which stood out for me -

- Kabir & Farah's first meet in swimming pool.
- Where Kabir's cousin vomits on Rana & Kabir's hilarious comments after that 😆
- Hospital convo b/w the Mehra's. Ranveer & Shefali in that scene were brilliant.
- All the Kabir/Noorie & Kabir/Sunny scenes.

So far the best out of the four BW movies i watched this year

Tmwr is an exception like last year queen...
Budget is 80 cr including promotion...so above 80 crore is profit buddy...but I doubt it will make it 80 in india itself considering hak this week...

I am glad that zoya doesn't go commercial way by adding any item songs to the drama...I don't mind it collecting less considering its a feel good movie

Kareena did just one song, yes she is a top actress but isn't priyanka a top actress also? she is and she featured in the whole, in fact DDD is PC's film! Anushka is also a top actress.

DDD is no niche film either, it is a big commercial film with masala, masti, music , dance and beautiful locations yet disappointing numbers at bo.

Agreed that good Zoya is not adding nonsense to her films but the thing is that DDD is poorly made, the story was so lame and the music videos and songs were bad!

this whole satelite rights, music rights, sponsor money etc. is excuses used when the film isn't doing well at the box office same excuses were used for the flops lootera and kill dill.

Domestic Business is what matters.

Saw the movie ..twice actually..I had monumental expectations because I love ensemble films ..I liked the movie ..it was good..that's it..I mean yes ,everything was there but still I was not totally convinced..kuch missing tha.dunno what exactly was missing..I loved the 4 leads ..they were perfect..can't say who was better..shefali shah is such an underrated actor..even in d reviews I see ppl talking abt Anil, pc and ranveer but due credit shud b given to her ..her expressions were to die for..Anil kapoor was splendid ..was happy to see him sparkle in a meaty role ..he was in fact the hero of the film and shefali the heroine ..good to see seniors getting their due..loved Priyanka chopra after a long time..she was brilliant ..and ranveer was v good ..enough has been already said and I agree with all d good things said abt him..

Anushka Anushka Anushka..I was looking forward to her performance ..it was not bad as ppl r saying ..she did her job well but I felt her bee stung lips were the most prominent in this film and she herself was aware of it..anuveer wove magical chemistry onscreen and one only wishes to see them together again ..the surprise package was the sizzling equation that Priyanka and farhan share in this film..weren't they great together? I was looking forward to more anu- veer and ayesha- sunny moments but let's not forget that this film is an ensemble ..each side actor gets his/ her moments to shine ..zarina wahab is an absolute delight as the hypochondriac mother in law and Rahul Bose did make me laugh😆the new girl who played noorie is hot..Pluto mehra was nice too..music like we all know is flop but surprisingly I enjoyed it in d movie ..esp peheli bar and galla goriyan.

What annoyed me was the hurried climax and the slow pace in d first half ..both could have been balanced ..also the mother- daughter relationship lacked depth..maybe it was meant to b that way..

Overall a nice film ..has got all d elements but I don't know y I din fall in love with it..
