If Shuddhi is about reincarnation then the story might have been too close to the Excel movie Sid is doing which is about time travel. This is one possible explanation.

But honestly, the more likely scenario here is that somehow Salman Khan played a huge part in VD getting Shuddhi. Salman and David Dhawan have been friends years. By replacing Salman with Salman's first choice he's staying in Salman's good books for the future, and avoided the backlash of his fans (which honestly would have been more of a nuisance than anything) by having Salman tweet about it first. Had Varun not been David Dhawan's son would Salman have given his blessings? What would been the media coverage like without his blessings? BV proved that bad publicity can really damage a movie.

Well, here's the thing, Sid has maintained throughout this thing that he's single and him and Alia are just friends, and that media is speculating because they are only hanging out as friends. Other than that I don't know what else is there that he can do. If him and Alia are genuinely friends is it fair to expect them not to hang out? Or to expect him to completely shun her?

I think sometimes we put our own personal feelings about one or both in a pair (real or reel, or even fake and alleged) and judge them more harshly based on our own biases. I certainly do it myself. For instance I think Katrina has lost her mind, and I think Natasha Dalal is the future Gauri Khan, lonely unloved and possibly high all the time. And this is entirely based on the negative perceptions that I have of Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan as people. And I fully acknowledge is that I don't know them beyond what is presented to me by the media, either with or without their input. But the same holds true for all of us and all the celebs. Am I making sense to you?

Oh you are..All of us judge these celebs based on our own perceptions..Am pretty cynical though so i don have that high an opinion about anyone in Bollywood..I just think some are more shrewd & manipulative than the rest 😆 And if we dislike the girl our favorite actor/ celeb is dating, it makes it even more tough to digest all those random relationship related articles 😆 Like for instance, i hate the fact that Ranbir is hating Katrina so am even more harsh while judging their relationship & articles written on them..The fact that you like both Sid & Alia helps i guess 😆

Yes it does help. But by the same token the fact that I dislike Varun makes this Shuddhi news harder to take, and the inevitable link up rumors that will start once promotions are on. And if Alia does that movie with Ranbir, aye aye aye!! You guys will love me around here 😆. That was sarcasm of course hehe.

I just saw Alia's latest pics & she'l legit look like Ranbir's niece if they are paired together..It sounds like such a terrible idea on paper..Am hoping this pair doesn't work out too atleast till Alia grows up & looks more mature 😆

That movie has always been on shaky ground. KJo just said he's starting ADM in December which will keep Ranbir busy in January and even February, which was the rumored start time of Ayan's movie. And after the debacle of BV I can see Ayan, Ranbir and Dharma stepping back and reevaluating things. As of now I don't think it's happening, or at least not happening within the next year.

But yes I do agree that Alia will look too young next to Ranbir. The fact that Ranbir himself looks kind of aged, ragged and not his best these days will not help with the obvious physical incompatibility that they already have.

Contrary to reports, Sid does not stay over at Alia's place..

Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra have been dating for quite sometime now. But the two actors have always kept mum about their respective relationships. With this, they maintain their silence as well. But there were reports that Sid was staying over at Alia's place. When asked about it, Alia's mom Soni Razdan shot back, denying all such reports.

At a promotional campaign for Garnier, where the mother-daughter duo have teamed up for ad, the question took Alia by surprise. "Aap kehna kya chahte ho? Sorry, my house is not a bus stand, right?," she shot back. But it was her mom Soni Razdan who gave a fitting reply. "Only if this put an end to all such rumours- Sidharth has not been staying at our place."

The statement is very deep. She just dissed the whole ladki bus ki tarah hoti hai, ek gayi toh doosri aa jaati hai thing. Meaning she is a permanent fixture in Sid's life.
