I was a staunch fan of SRK till JTHJ ...that movie really put me off bigtime! I Hated SRK and Kat pairing, hated SRK's attempts to act young while his face looked all haggard and aged. Yashji made a bad movie, sadly also his swan song!

SRK and Aamir have always been my favorites!

Baazigar, Darr and QSQT and 3 Idiots are my ALL TIME favorite movies!

I never liked Sallu...even as a young actor he mostly monkeyed around and never did any serious roles. 😆

Probably the only 2 serious acting he did was Tere Naam and Khamoshi. I liked him in those 2 movies, and also Bodyguard, which didnt have any vulgarity and had a somewhat poignant story.

So I dont hate all Khans and love only Ranbir. 😆 I loved SRK and Aamir in all their GOOD movies, even liked Lallu in 2-3 movies!

I hated Ranbir in Sawariya with his towel dance, actually liked Sonam and Lallu better in that one. 😲😆

But Ranbir changed my mind with WUS, Rajneeti and Barfi. He is a very talented actor and dissing him just because 3 of his movies flopped is NOT RIGHT!

Then what abt Sallu who gave a total of 29 flops and 4 disasters in his career? All his flops are forgotten just because hes a superstar now, giving blockbusters of the ghatiya kind? 😕

Superstars are not infallible and incomparable, and good actors are not rubbish just because they had a few flops.

I hate the hype that surrounds the Khans and dislike how the 3 are lumped together inspite of their disparate qualities and acting style.

Let's be honest. Fans who care about quality will be there later also and won't mind older age or different theme.

It's the fickle ones that need to be tapped by any star.

For us, they know if we are so concerned about quality of their work then we have some lasting connection with them unlike seasonal audience that readily moves to new flavours of the season.

You do not like Salman. Fine.

But you can't deny his successes like MPK, Saajan, HAHK, Patthar ke phool Baaghi, Sanam Bewafa, Judwaa, and many more in first 7 years of career.

He proved he was a draw unlike Ranbir.

I don't understand how you selectively quote flops but not hits!

He was immensely popular and neck to neck with SRK in 90s.

You can't compare bit of success seen by RK to this.

Absolutely dishonest to count Salman's whole career flops but RK's only 3 recent flops.

Same going in circles despite all explanations!

Say that so-n-so super-ishtar acted bad.

then there would be BO numbers thrown on your face.

Stardom ki vajeh se yeh bhi nahi keh sakte ki.. buddhas ne dimag paka diya. Bhad mein gaye BO numbers. Mera dimag satkaya hai. Tickets ke paise mere gaye. Me to bajaungi buddho ki. jab tak hai jaan. 😆😆

I think most of us are on the same page. Just some ancient old war and words have been dragged in to assume 'masala movies' = crap / not intellectual, which isn't the case at all. You seem to have enjoyed Sholay. I liked it too. One of my favourite movies.

Yes, 90s had Govinda with his dirty dancing 😆 and also Akki liked to do those pelvic thrusts.

We loved Sholay, simply loved it! Even now I can recite all the famous dialogues of Salim-Javed without pause. 😆

We liked most of the Big B masala movies of the 70s and early 80s, didnt miss a single one of them.

Amar Akbar Anthony was the type of movie where u could leave ur brain outside the theatre and just enjoy the screenplay. Manmohan Desai excelled in those potboilers. 😆
