he isn't reviewing BV or saying it's a good film...the article jus makes some valid points like reviews are saying BV lacks soul but he says do movies like Kick, Gabbar etc have soul?..and how it's unacceptable to give BV/bomkesh bakshi 2.5 stars n Gabbar also 2.5 stars...

Agree with what this article is trying to say...we let the internet and online reviews influence us too much even before we watch the movie, hence we dont get to appreciate or judge the movie according to our own perception.
In the pre internet era, we would watch most new releases and decide for ourselves if we liked or hated it...but now our appreciation or criticism is influenced even before its released.

The trailer, the promotions, the overhype often kills our interest or turns us against the movie.
Internet is influencing our perception of movies and everything else and depriving us of spontaneous enjoyment. We cannot form our own judgement of things, but get brainwashed by the critics and other talking heads.

I strongly disagree with the article.
Piku's 1st day collection was around 5crs and got increased to 11crs on Sunday and it also sustained from Monday. Whereas HYN started with 42crs and then crashed, same was the story of Besharam, Roy, Jai Ho. So this proves that it is not the Internet or the fans but the audience that decides the fate of the movie. At the end of the day people go to theaters for entertainment, the movie has to be an entertainer to attract the audience, in fact the public don't give a fig to reviews. We have seen movies with bad review doing well at box office. Rohit shetty's master pieces are examples.

BV failed to make it big on the 1st day, maybe because it failed to attract viewers with its trailers and promos, RK's presence didn't make a difference due his previous flops. People who have watched it are saying it's boring and its badly made. You can't make a bad movie and then complain. in fact initially the industry folks praised it to the sky but still it didn't help it to open big.

Its funny how ppl are finding excuses for BV Debacle...
If something is good , it will work.
If not it will flop...

Its still the same audience who appreciated DevD , GOW...and infact now audience have become way to Mature ...

Stop Crying and take the low in good spirit ...

If people want to accept the positives of word of mouth for good films then accept the negative of word of mouth for bad movies
A lot of people on twitter who watched BV called it a snoozefest and some even walked out during interval.

On an average the movie going audience pays roughly Rs 500 (300 for ticket remaining for travel & refreshments) per person to watch a movie. If they don't like it, they have every reason to share their displeasure.

Thik hai internet ppl are killing poor Kashyap's masterpiece but why are the critics who watched the film who are Kashyap's fans disappointed by it? The darling of critics couldnt impress high thinking dark film lover critics how can he impress B centers and small town movie goers? even urban multiplex audience were not satisfied. I take all excises for poor boxoffice but no excuse for a bad film. A bad film is a bad film deal with it.
